I was worried if my comic is perhaps too self indulgent, but then I remembered the words of Björk and now I need to make it even more self indulgent 🥰

one of the reasons ive spent the last 15 years showcasing game artists (concept esp) is that their work is SO important to our love and understanding of our favourite games, and the people responsible are criminally under-appreciated for the work they do. aftermath.site/tag/showcase/

I frequently ramble at length on my streams about how genre literacy of beat 'em up games among the wider populace is really terrible (this goes for developers, critics, and consumers). Rarely have I seen this better illustrated than by this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxev...

A somewhat surreal, but proud and exciting moment. I'm holding in my hand a new Mega Drive game, and it's my artwork on the cover! An item off the bucket list, for sure. Thanks @mix256.bsky.social for the opportunity, can't wait to play the game!

It will never stop being funny to me that the street fighter subreddit has a much better, well reasoned ai policy vis a vis literally all universities.

Hi, thanks for posting! We do appreciate you thinking of us even though we have to moderate.

Our stance on all AI generated content (Images, Video, Voiceovers, and whatever else LLM based AI gets up to in the future):

At best, they are approximations of street fighter characters as the AI has no clue what it is trying to create. Because of this, there is no street fighter content so they are not allowed. (rule 1)

Also, they aren't allowed per our source rule. As AI sources cannot be tracked, we must assume that they use uncredited sources in the learning data. (rule 5)

Finally, AI images, video, text, and voiceovers are barely any different than posting a screenshot of a google search. The level of effort is so low that we consider it spam (rule 3).

Because of these reasons, AI art and other AI content is not allowed.

If you would like to contact the moderators about this removal, you can do so here.

The two truths: 1) There is nothing wrong with porn, let people safely make it, let people safely enjoy it. 2) If you let people define porn as bad, authoritarians will ALWAYS expand the definition until their hands are around your neck.

Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM

Something of the Kantian sublime in the way it is impossible to find a camera angle with which to observe the entire Idol of Sonic in Spikeout; a metaphor for the impossibility of one person beholding the totality of the divine work of SEGA, we are each offered only a glimpse of the universal truth.

I say this as a professional who came up from fan translation and has friends at Sega who will likely never get to work on this officially: when you fan translate ANYTHING that was previously untranslated, you have a deep, heavy responsibility in setting people's first and typically only impression.

getting into Ridge Racer has helped me to understand the core appeal of arcade-style racers and why it's sad when the market is underserved they're for people who like the sense of speed, enjoy improving at challenges of execution over time, and - crucially - do not actually give a shit about cars

Happy to see DOA coming back! I've been a fan of the series since the first one and really fell in love with DOA2 on Dreamcast. I'm very proud and thankful to have been a small part of this series as one of my costume designs made it into DOA5LR✨🌈🙏

Costume design artwork for Tina Armstrong's "Fitness Idol" costume featured in Dead or Alive 5. The outfit is inspired by 90's fitness fashion and consists of an aerobics-style thong leotard with a loud brightly coloured pattern, a torn white t-shirt with stars and the name 'Tina' printed on it hanging off one shoulder, and various accessories in white and pink.
