The latest thing that companies do when they want to advertise on my channel (in particular AI companies), is that they AI generate emails based on AI evaluations of recent posted YT content. Here is one where the AI didn't get the point at all and it just completely made it up.

The odd issue of being a web dev and also a web user; I get hyper critical about things like the button click handler is wrapping the text and not the body of the button.

I loved this game Tai-pan when I was a kid. Turns out someone made a version in Ink `npx ctrader`. I did pretty well. You can call me "Admiral" now. 😂 I should have upgraded my ship earlier though . Definitely could have had a higher score.

The results of a "200 day" game of `npx ctrader`. $5.6M value. Ship rated to 650 piculs (?) of capacity for cargo. And a top speed of 16 knots.

My superpower is that I can never find obvious things in the UI. I've ben using @windsurfai.bsky.social for a couple of weeks. It's really good but sometimes I just want it to stop with the autocomplete for a bit. Turns out, the setting was right in the status bar. Really elegant layout too.

So this finally happened after 13 years of owning a SawStop and never triggering it. Saved my thumb, which is 👍. I had definitely gotten a little careless with my table saw safety. Hopefully the saw is ok. Won't know until I pick up another cartridge tomorrow.

Spent saw stop safety break. The SawStop table saw has a feature that detects skin and automatically jams the break into the saw blade in milliseconds.

The big lens flare one is a street light. The stuff behind the trees I think is just another light that is conveniently occluded in an appealing way. I can't turn off the lights, so I might as well get some appealing effects out of them. Here is a different angle trying to cut out the lights.

In my neighborhood we really don't get to see the stars that much. But with a good camera and lens, a long enough exposure, and some Lightroom magic, you can still get some really cool images.

My brother gifted me an ancient medium format manual lens. So just for kicks I printed an adapter to Sony e-mount. It's a 100mm lens, so on an APS-C sensor it's more like 250mm. Which means I need to be in the neighbors yard on a tripod. But... still cool to see that it can work.
