Full #Moon & #astrophotography don't make a good mix, except on star clusters or emission nebulae...so here goes for the Persei double cluster (NGC884 & NGC869) and the Horse Head #nebula (IC434) in H-alpha. Images shot yesterday. Aren't those cute 😊? What do you see @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ?

NGC 7331 with SN 2026aaiv captured from my patio this week 😊🔭 This was shot on the EdgeHD 8 for a total integration time of about 4.5 hours in LRGB using a QHY294M cam. The supernova SN 2026aaiv was discovered on 1st Sept 2026 #Astrophotography @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social‬ what do you see?

NGC 7331 is a beautiful spiral galaxy in the constellation Pegasus. It’s located in the constellation of Pegasus at a distance of about 46 million light years. On 1st Sept 2026 a new Supernova SN 2026aaiv was discovered in this galaxy.

Pour la deuxième année consécutive, NGC 7331 produit une supernova découverte le 1er septembre. Je l'ai photographiée pour la première fois le 6 septembre. J'ai mesuré sa magnitude à 13.5. La nuit dernière, elle était à la magnitude 12.25. 🔭🧪

La galaxie NGC 7331 et la supernova SN2026aaiv qui a explosé il y a 40 millions d'années et dont la lumière nous parvient depuis le 1er septembre.

La supernova SN2026aaiv est située près du noyau de la galaxie et est indiquée par deux traits rouges.

Transformer une session d'étoiles en RGB en session de capture des nébulosités sans narrowband ni filtre anti pollution (malgré la luminosité de Paris dans le dos). ça reste magnifique de voir ces nébulosités avec seulement quelques raw.

L'avantage d'avoir eu 1 mois de ciel nuageux, c'est qu'on est de nouveau sur une nouvelle lune 😀 On reprend le travail sur cette nébuleuse de l'iris. Je vous tease un peu, avec 10% du vaste champ ! Le reste est encore plus magnifique à voir c'est dire. 🤗

IC 5076 captured from my patio on four nights in August 😊🔭 This was shot on the EdgeHD 8 for a total integration time of about 24 hours in mono using a QHY294M cam and combining LRGB and Ha narrowband data to enhance the background. #Astrophotography @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social‬ what do you see?

IC 5076 is a beautiful blueish reflection nebula which is illuminated by the hot blue supergiant star V2140 Cygni. It’s located in the constellation of Cygnus at an estimated distance of about 5,700 light years away from Earth.

The Cosmic Checkmark Nebula is comprised a latge elongated molecular cloud (LBN 534) and the reflection nebula (VdB 158) lies in a dusty starry region in Andromeda. It is ~ 35 light years in length. (per Wiki) Exposure 6 hrs over several sessions, updated 09/02/26 #astronomy #astrophotography

MWP 1 - The Methuselah Nebula captured from my patio on eleven short summer nights in July and August 😊🔭 This was shot on the EdgeHD 8 for a total integration time of about 40 hours in mono with Ha and OIII narrowband filters and combined with RGB stars. #Astrophotography

The Methuselah Nebula is an exceptionally large ancient bipolar planetary nebula and therefore it’s very faint. Despite the long integration time the signal was very weak and noisy so processing this object was quite challenging!

MWP1 is located in the constellation of Cygnus at an estimated distance of about 4,500 light years away from Earth.

The more subs (22h in this case), the better the SNR, and more bubbly stuff pops out like the Soap Bubble nebula near the Crescent Nebula. This is a collaborative #astrophotography work with my friend Alex who's not on BS. What do you see @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ?

On va très nettement la pollution lumineuse de Paris dès lors qu'un nuage passe au dessus et diffuse la lumière 🥹. Mais c'est quasiment similaire avec une très grosse agglomération voisine. Mais on arrive à voir le double amas de persée en 10sec de pose il faut voir le bon côté 😅

J'adore ce cadrage sur cette zone de la constellation de Céphée 😊 C'est dur de l'admettre mais la capture des photons sans aucun filtre sur ce type d'astre, même proche de Paris, reste bien mieux pour détecter ce nuancier très diversifié de couleurs.

Est-ce que vous pourriez me partager vos config sur l'autofocus pour ceux qui seraient sous Nina? ( ou équivalent ) Pour les cibles orientés côté sud aucun soucis mais au nord, j'ai sérieusement du mal à avoir une FWHM en dessous de 6 j'ai du mal à comprendre la raison.

Courte session hier soir, mais j'ai réussi à récupérer un peu de signal sur cette tête de requin. ça fonctionne bien mieux de prendre les dark nébula sans filtre 😀 ft @ltno2.bsky.social Avec seulement 22 raws de 180s, j'ai bien plus de signal qu'avec 200 raws de 300s filtré au L-Pro. 😅

Dark Shark Nebula shot in LRGB with a monochrome Poseidon camera and a 200mm Newtonian scope at f/4. This Nebula is a reflection nebula, made of dust, that reflects the light from the surrounding stars.

Thousands of stars are playing hide and seek in this 🔭📷 #astrophography of the dusty surroundings of LDN1082 🤩. 12 hours of integration shot from my backyard, supervized from my couch (feeling kind of fancy with a remote setup of my own ☺️). Can you plate-solve this @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ?

Astrophotography of LDN1082, a dark nebula made up of dust. Thousands of stars of various colors play hide and seek with the dust that thins off as it gets away from LDN1082. 12h of integration time over three nights using amateur equipment was necessary to bring the fainter wisps using : a Skywatcher Quattro 200P Newtonian, a Player One Poseidon-M camera, Antlia V-Pro LRGB filters.
