Wind blown Kermadec petrel chick for #SuperSeabirdSunday -same location as last years’ with returned 2021 fledgling-606- doing it 2-years in a row. That’s a great start for her breeding career as I’ve got another monitored bird that’s still going strong at 33 years.

At the 2024 Movecolab.it meeting #DonJean-LéandriBreton presented his in-progress work on migratory beahaviour of kittiwakes breeding on Middleton, in the Alaska gulf. In winter, individuals that migrate less fed on poorer-quality food but arrived earlier at the breeding site in spring

At the 2024 Movecolab.it meeting @ecotos.bsky.social presented his PhD project on #plastic ingestion in Mediterranean shearwaters. Plastic has been found in 16 out of the 18 Scopoli's shearwaters (dead for bycatch) checked last week. Great collaboration with Susanne Kuehn and Jan van Franeker

At our 2024 Movecolab.it meeting, #MichelangeloMorganti showed the updated trend of lesser kestrel population in the Po Plain (Northern Italy). After peaking in 2021, the population now shows only small fluctuations.
