Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 15/09/2026was done really well and was really all done in service of Katerina and her story. There was so much heart in this story centered on her. Maybe I'm feeling more connect to her because of the recent find, but I just absolutely loved this. 000
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Early Adventures 6. I'm back. I had a lot of listening I needed to do for a class which hit out all of my big finish time, but I just finished that. Excited to be back at it. To me, this set was all about "Daughter of the Gods" by @davidkbarnes.com . I was skeptical of a 1st/2nd crossover, but it... 110

Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 21/07/2026a great position to put the character in. Lots of fun! I also very much enjoyed "Spring-Heeled Jack" by @mmaarrow.bsky.social . It was a clever twist on the myth and got a little deeper into the connections between the characters. 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Paternoster Gang: Heritage 2. As always, the Paternoster Gang is a true joy. It's goofy, but there's a lot of heart. It's hard to say which story was my favorite. I think I will choose "Dining with Death" by Dan Starkey of all people! Having Strax need to keep the peace between rival groups was... 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 05/07/2026@johndorney.bsky.social . In addition to resolving the Ravenous story, it was just a joy to hear the different types of scheming from so many different Masters. It made me really excited for Masterful. So much fun! 220
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 05/07/20268th Doctor Ravenous 4. Ravenous ended I think with its strongest set. I loved this. All the stories were wonderful. "Whisper" by @mattief.bsky.social was a perfectly creepy audio experience. Great story which was aimed well for an audio medium. I also loved "Day of the Master" by... 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 04/07/2026Benny Audiobook - The Squire's Crystal. I just loved this. It's the best Benny audiobook so far. Jacqueline Rayner's story is really fun and a really different situation that Benny has to deal with. @lisabowerman.bsky.social narrates perfectly as the perspective jumps around. 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 03/07/2026Torchwood One: Latter Days. Honestly, I had a lot of trouble getting invested in this one. It didn't hold my attention well. "The Rockery" by Tim Foley was my favorite though. It was cool to see some vulnerability from Yvonne and get some backstory for her. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 25/06/2026The Companion Chronicles 1st Doctor 3. By far, my favorite in this set was The Vardan Invasion of Mirth by @mrpaulmorris.bsky.social and Ian Atkins. The title itself wa just wonderful, and I loved the old-timey humor throughout. A really fun listen. 120
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 25/06/2026Took a long break to relisten to all of Gallifrey before tomorrow's release. But then, we'll be back into it. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 26/04/2026Subscriber Short Trip, A Song For Running by Sophie Iles. I really enjoyed this. The imagery was painted really well so that I could picture it the entire time. It was a great dramatic setting in which to put the 12th Doctor. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 26/04/2026That was very impactful. I also really enjoyed "Blood on Santa's Claw and Other Stories." I appreciated how well the stories subtly built together to a surprising conclusion. I did not see it coming. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 26/04/2026Monthly Range 256-259. My favorite of these was "Warzone / Conversion" by @chrischapman81.bsky.social and @guyadams.bsky.social . I appreciated the real peril that the companions were in throughout. However, what really worked for me was seeing more clearly the emotional followup of losing Adric... 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 21/04/2026Although, I’m only doing things that are in some way connected to Doctor Who. If you’re doing all of big finish, there will be some things beyond what I’m doing 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 11/04/2026bleak. It works because of strong writing. I think @lisamcmullin.bsky.social 's "The Flood" was my favorite in this set. I enjoyed the the interactions with the Prime Minister and environmental version of the disaster. However, the real heart was Clive's love story. I was surprised how much I cared. 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 11/04/2026Rose Tyler Dimension Cannon 1. This series is interesting. In one way, it's so comforting. This is that original family cast doing their fun goofy interactions, and I think the addition of Clive is clever because Rose always has someone to talk to. On the other hand, in every story, the end is so... 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 09/04/2026"The Sacrifice of Jo Grant" by @guyadams.bsky.social . The two emotional moments of the 3rd Doctor talking to a much older Jo ( @manningofficial.bsky.social ) and Kate Stewart talking to the Brigadier in the past were perfect. Entirely appropriate for an anniversary and so well done. 210
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 09/04/2026Legacy of Time. There is a lot to like in this one. I truly think all 6 stories are wonderful and I love the appropriate link to @bigfinish.bsky.social 's history with the Sirens. I also loved the introduction of new history with first TARDIS flight. Of all the stories, my favorite is definitely... 210
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 30/03/2026Now fixing that mistake. New Adventures of Benny 5. My favorite of the set was "Burrowed Time" by Lani Woodward. There's a lot of wonderful emotion in dealing with the time dilemma. However, I also loved the Doctor and Benny needing to act pedestrian in "Dead and Breakfast" by April McCaffrey. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 29/03/2026Ooo! I just realized I skipped one ahead in Benny's stories. Will do series 5 next. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 29/03/2026The struggle for the two to communicate was well-handled and wonderful to listen to. I also loved "Gallifrey" by @guyadams.bsky.social and @ @alexandrakbenedict.bsky.social . It was a great crossover, and the surprise of hearing @seancarlsen.bsky.social 's Narvin was so fun. Great stuff. 120
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 29/03/2026New Adventures of Benny 6. I really enjoy the relationship between @lisabowerman.bsky.social 's Benny here and the Unbound Doctor. It's so contentious, but you can hear the caring underneath it. For this reason, "Have I Told You Lately?" by @verbatimfoley.bsky.social was my favorite of this set... 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 28/03/2026felt like a tribute to the history of the show. I think my personal favorite though was "Peepshow" by @guyadams.bsky.social . I love Carnival of Monsters so hearing a story going on in the background was a real plus for me. All in all, a great set. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 28/03/2026Diary of River Song 6. This was a really fun set. Finding ways to hide River in the background of classic stories was a fun concept, and all four stories work well. I very much enjoyed "An Unearthly Woman" by @mattief.bsky.social . It sets up Barbara and Ian as the curious teachers we know. It... 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 07/03/2026Eve Myles plays her part perfectly. Other stories had lots of fun surprises. I never would have expected to hear @manningofficial.bsky.social in a Torchwood Green Death Sequel or to hear Annette Badland have her Slitheen character interact with Suzie. Lots of fun here! 400
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 07/03/2026Torchwood Monthly 25-30. I like the monthly series much more than "the story continues." It's more of a classic Torchwood feel, and that's really what I'm interested in. My favorite of these six was definitely "Night of the Fendahl" by @verbatimfoley.bsky.social . It was wonderfully creepy, and... 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 05/03/2026parallels to modern class issues. It's bleak and perfect for the Time War. It was also really interesting to explore more about the Valeyard in "The War Valeyard" by @johndorney.bsky.social . It's a unique take on a time loop story, and I enjoyed Jayston's performance. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 05/03/20268th Doctor Time War 3. Lots of expected time war darkness in this set. I loved "The Famished Lands" by @lisamcmullin.bsky.social . The situation that the Doctor finds himself in is horrifying, as a planet's population has found a joint solution to starvation and lack of defense. It had notable... 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Subscriber Short Trip - An Ocean of Sawdust. This was just a listen of pure enjoyment. It’s an 8th Doctor story in a wonderfully fanciful world. I don’t think it would work on TV, but it worked well here. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 01/03/2026"Emissary of the Daleks" by @andr3wsmith.bsky.social . It's a wonderful exploration of how people deal with political pressures and the effects that can have on families. I found the resolution very compelling and VERY Doctor Who. 210
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Monthly Adventures 253-255. "Memories of a Tyrant" by @rolandmooretv.bsky.social was a really interesting story. At first, I thought we were a getting pseudo-River Song type arc where people are meeting in different orders, but the revelations about memory were really clever. I also really enjoyed.. 210
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 27/02/2026"The Coney Island Chameleon” by David Llewellyn were wonderful period pieces where the Master starts as a quiet manipulator in the background until his scheme comes out in a jarring betrayal. It was awesome hearing the 8th Doctor and War Master together int he later stories too. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 27/02/2026War Master 3: Rage of the Time Lords. I really like Derek Jacobi’s Master. His balance of quiet scheming and cold harshness is perfect for the character. I liked all of the stories in this set, but the first two were my favorite. Both The Survivor” by @verbatimfoley.bsky.social and... 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 26/02/2026Torchwood God Among Us 3. This series is always little tough for me. I can'd help but make comparisons to the original Torchwood team. I will say that I thought Andy's character arc was fantastic, and I thought the end left things in a place that excited me. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 25/02/2026to @oldsixie.bsky.social ’s 6th Doctor pretend to be Jack. The other two stories were quite fun as well, but the first really shined. 100
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 25/02/2026The Lives of Captain Jack 2. I liked this release quite a bit more than the first, and a lot of that has to do with the first story “Piece of Mind” by @gossjam.bsky.social . It was extremely fun listening to Jack pretend to be the Doctor, but it was even more fun listening... 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 25/02/2026of the rival human, sontaran, silurian gang. I wonder if we’ll see them again. I also loved “The Ghosts of Greenwich” by @mrpaulmorris.bsky.social . It was a wonderfully atmospheric mystery. 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 25/02/2026Paternoster Gang Heritage 1. I have been excited for tis release for a while. The dynamics of the Paternoster Gang are just so fun, and given the necessary end of the Jago and Litefoot range, it’s nice to get more Victoriana. I enjoyed the idea in “A Photograph to Remember” by @roygill.bsky.social 120
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 23/02/2026Yeah, Tolstoy was trying to argue that a rural and simple religious life was better than an urban life of passion. I do agree with you though. The final section is especially tough because it’s well past when it feels like the book should end. 010
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 23/02/2026Anna Karenina is incredible. I read it in a Russian Lit class I took in college. The passion of the love story! For a while… 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 23/02/2026hasn't happened before. There was also wonderful antics of 10 and Donna pretending to be a couple and sickening each other. I also love when I learn from Doctor Who and "The Creeping Death" by @roygill.bsky.social told me about a historical event I was entirely unaware of. A wonderful period piece. 142
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 23/02/202610th Doctor Adventures 3. The 10th Doctor and Donna. What more could you want? Why Wilf and Sylvia of course! The opening story of this set was my favorite. "No Place" by @gossjam.bsky.social was a great concept. The Doctor combined with a haunted house debunking was brilliant. I'm shocked it... 121
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 21/02/2026Daisy Ashford’s very honest portrayal of Liz Shaw in one story was such a celebration of the 3rd Doctor’s era. And I haven't even mentioned the return of the Brigadier whose voice @jonculshaw.bsky.social has captured so well. The story is well-crafted to bring all of these characters together. 10/10 231
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 21/02/20263rd Doctor Adventures 5. Wow, I did like the second the story in this set a lot, but for me, this set belonged to the first. I absolutely adored “Primord” by @johndorney.bsky.social . It’s my favorite @bigfinish.bsky.social story in a long time. Having @manningofficial.bsky.social ’s Jo Grant and... 221
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 20/02/2026a way that was surprising for UNIT, but it just worked. There was a lot of heart underpinning the story, and the Static was a clever concept for a monster. 110
Finks @jfinks.bsky.social · 20/02/2026UNIT Incursions. This is the last UNIT release for a while and it's a strong one. I really enjoyed the 2-part River Song story. There was a lot of intrigue there. However, the first story, "This Sleep of Death" by @jonnymorris.bsky.social , was the winner for me. It was creepy and metaphysical in... 121
