Absolutely! My ‘Block’ class in 10th grade of honors English and AP US history was the toughest class and the most work of all my high school classes. But I learned so much and easily got a 5 on the AP test by year end. Tough teachers but they knew what they were doing.

I went to three different high schools and read The Grapes of Wrath at two of them. It’s so crazy that his books are being banned. I read it in 10th grade in an honors English class that tied the reading to AP US history and again in 12th in AP Lit.

Next summer we plan to take our Tesla out west for the first time. Hitting Yosemite and then over to the coast and south to LA and back to OK. Looking forward to more charging opportunities. We usually drive to FL. But have also taken it through New England.

Does it map out routes with chargers like Tesla does? (Just curious. We have a Tesla and a Bolt. We’ve taken the Tesla on many super long trips but wouldn’t do the same with the Bolt. Curious about other EVs.)

My kiddo was just there last Friday on a school marching band trip from Oklahoma. The Grand Canyon is such a beautiful place. I was happy so many of her classmates got to see it for the first time.

Oof. That’s not good to hear. I’m in Oklahoma, we use scantron paper ballots. However each voting machine has an audio tactile interface for someone visually impaired to use.

I signed up 4 years ago and have been working elections ever since. I’m 44 and one of the youngest poll workers in my area of red Oklahoma. Poll workers are very much needed. I’m an introvert but still signed up. It just takes some recovery time after the fact.

Why do so many people swap the Arkansas and Alaska abbreviations?! I went on an Alaskan cruise and they wrote the state abbr on our name tags and when I said I was from Arkansas the Alaskan cruise operator said “is that A K?” I wanted to exit the ship immediately.

My husband was called out by a city for using AI for an engineering form. The AI part was from their city form that he had to fill out. So he had to print out the form and write it in to reupload. So dumb.

This is what I’ve done at my house. Native plants and a rain garden. I have lots of different birds and pollinators that visit my yard every day. I wish more people would convert their grass lawn to native plant gardens.

Truth told, my dorm had no a/c, it later got a window unit. I befriended my bf’s roommates so they wouldn’t care if I was around all the time and I mostly stayed in his rooms. He had real a/c. I went to the Univ of Arkansas. I chose the cheapest dorm bc my scholarship didn’t cover the good dorms.

I lofted my bed, with sitting space under. My bf had just the wooden bed that could lift the bed to the top for one of these tall beds of today, but the frame busted a corner. So the mattress was put on the floor under with sheets draped from above for total privacy. Fort style. Stuff stored on top.

My elementary school in northwest Arkansas flew that blue Earth flag and the U.S. flag every day in the early ‘90’s. We also had an aluminum can recycling program that gave kids money for bringing in cans before recycling was mainstream. We bought acres of rainforest too. I want that reality back.

My 9th grader started her first week of band camp today. 🥵 I’m reminded that the summer I was pregnant with her in 2011 was when we broke many heat records in Oklahoma and I worked at the zoo. So it’s not THAT bad, yet.

I visit Disney World quite often, so I know crowds and sensory overload, but I get overwhelmed at Buccees. Favorite visit was Xmas morning in Leeds, AL, it was empty except my family and two women loading a shopping cart full of eggs. All other visits have been mass chaos. But nice bathrooms.

I’m an Oklahoma election worker. Your polling person should accept your voter ID without any other ID. It’s either a state or federal issued photo ID (if it has an expiration date it can’t be expired) OR just your voter ID card that the election board mailed to you at some point. Not both.

Went incognito in the back with my blue OKC Thunder playoff shirt and Pride wristbands to watch my kid’s band for a Fox News thing and not be embarrassing. (My kid said not to bring a protest sign.) Then a guy told me to hold a flag. Here’s to supporting my LGBTQ+ friends in the armed forces!

I tried to stay in the back, but the guy in charge thought I should hold a flag along with my husband. Husband got the U.S. Army flag, another guy got the OU flag that my husband picked up for me. Husband thought the last flag was OSU and I’d probably rather hold the OU flag, but it was actually a Space Force flag. I have no ties to OU so I let the other guy take it and I went to get the Space Force flag. So much for being unassuming but then again everyone had to see my Pride wristbands holding my flag. Winning!

I vote by mail because I’m a poll worker and his ending of vote by mail doesn’t include poll workers in the exceptions. However fortunately for me (🙄) my state turned over its voter rolls. So I guess I don’t have to worry about that anymore. Winning? 🤬
