Opened up a New Mutants comic from 1990 and was confronted with this. Time is a flat circle.

Half a comic page showing a person fleeing through rubble and fire, a helicopter overhead. Narration boxes read: "No mention of the possibility that the 'drug war' is a thinly veiled way to justify American military occupation in Latin America... but that's TV! Then there was a whole issue about how Prof X believes Frankenstein is a true story and then they fight Frankenstein, who is a robot from outer space, which is not what the book Frankenstein is about, making it BY THEIR OWN DEFINITION NOT TRUE, and honestly I think Roy Thomas owes me 12 cents.

I'm not doing #FinishUrBookFall or anything but after drafting a novel in 2 months this summer I decided to see if I could do it again this fall. So far it looks like I can. Not long ago I thought I might never write a book again. This is the 3rd one I've written in 2024. So. This feels good.

And that's a wrap on #1000wordsofsummer! Total word count for these 14 days: 17,465. I think I'm going to try to keep this going for at least the rest of June and see where we end up. This project has been such a joy that I genuinely don't want to go a day without working on it.
