#inktober day 4: #cactus -it’s not a new idea… doesn’t everybody play around with how cactus sounds like cat? #art #cat #desert

#inktober day 2: #relic -just a seedling, a little sprout. A relic of a once green place. Made sacred by loss and regret and protected by hope. #seedling #art #gold (I felt like a bit of a sap writing this, but here we are. This is where my mind went)

#inktober day 1: #apple - inspired by the myth of Atlanta and the golden apples that led to her loosing the race for her hand in marriage. My son graciously posed for my reference with apples from our very own feral apple trees. #inktober2026 #art #mythology

I kept intending to post this one but then kept remembering at times I couldn’t follow through right away. But here it is after all that. Perhaps this one lives in this cave? I wonder if it lives alone? #cats #art #wings #oilpainting

A tabby wandering buildings of stone. Interesting note: the wings that look best on the cats, when I’m building my reference, are somewhat correlating to their size… like these are wings from a duck, others I have used are wings from owls or hawks, it think parrots worked too. #cats #art #painting

Here’s another winged cat. I finished this curious one in June. Do you think the fluffier coat breeds are native to cooler climates? #cats #oilpainting #painting #art #catart #wings

Early this year I decided to pick a theme for my paintings. I finished this one in April. This one seems to be rather brooding. What would you call a winged cat? My youngest calls them “god cats” #cats #oilpainting #painting #art #catart #wings

#inktober day 31 #award: I gave myself a gold star. I didn’t do one every day of October, but that’s okay. I wanted to do this art challenge with a dash of moderation. #ink #drawing #art #illustration #sketchbook #selfportrait

Started this, but life put off the finish. So, here it is delivered late for #inktober day 5 #deer: Good news: antlers shed. Bad news: they aren’t shedding now. Anyone have a saw? #ink #drawing #art #illustration #sketchbook #fire #smoke
