Happy 25th to this absolute monster of a masterpiece. Unfortunate (oddly appropriate?) release day aside, Slayer came roaring back with this pummeling powerhouse and set the tone for a magnificent career third act. 🤘🤘🤘🤘 #musicsky #slayer #fuckinslayer

I still love that era, because it was what it was. Crazy, chaotic, and groundbreaking. A lot of 'Licensed' hasn't aged well, particularly the home video. Yikes. Paul Revere, Slow And Low, The New Style still rip, tho. And I will never take this poster down. Ever.

This was a game changer for me as a youth. Can't not buy it when I see it out in the wild.

39 years ago, 11 year-old me sat on the floor of an oversold opening night screening of 'The Lost Boys' at Studio 28 in Grand Rapids, MI and had my tiny little mind blown. Memories don't get much better. #filmsky

Saw this a week before it was officially released at a noon screening on a Wednesday. Watching people stumble out bleary-eyed into the summer sun was magical. Still have the little promotional stick man they gave out.

Post a perfect album from the 90's that isn't Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, or Alice In Chains.

Welp, 'The Odyssey' is a damn fine film, but not top-tier, unfortunately. It has some major pacing/editing issues and some excess bloat. Just too much crammed in there. Otherwise, the stuff that works, really works. Some great emotional moments from fine actors and incredibly, beautifully shot. 8/10

'Backrooms' is one of the most unique and bizarre mainstream films I've seen in a long time. Unfortunately, it was WAY scarier when you couldn't see what was lurking. Great shots, sets and direction. Just not terribly frightening. 7/10 #filmsky

'The Mandalorian and Grogu" was a blast!!! Great action, cute puppets and cool space shit. What else you want? OK, maybe some decent dialog? I can't believe the guy who wrote 'Swingers' couldn't give the words a little more....force? Other than that, perfect summer fun. #filmsky #starwars

'Obsession' was crazy good. Inde Navarette gives it her all in a 0 to 100 and back to 0 performance. Just, wow! Curry Barker made a remarkably weird, insane and taut freak out here. A batshit date movie for a batshit era.

'Is God Is' is goddamn incredible. Hilarious, touching, and brutal. Incredible performances by Kara Young, Mallori Johnson and a terrifying Sterling K. Brown. Go see it while you still can. Give this movie your money!!! #filmsky

If Leia was so sure the Empire put a homing beacon on the Falcon, why did she have them take her straight to Yavin instead of stopping at some remote planet and sweeping the ship for bugs or something? Like, you're not in a hurry. Just sayin'. #starwars #filmsky
