sleepy sketch inspired by my favorite outfit to wear around the house lately

bz, a cerise jersey devil with messy bubblegum pink hair, stretches and yawns sleepily. she's wearing black sweatpants and a lilac muscle tee with the shoulders deeply cut, revealing excessive sideboob. she holds a lilac coffee cup with her spade tail.

to me vtubing is a huge beacon of hope when the animation and gaming industries are failing so many skilled artisans. it is truly a labor of love and a testament to how people will find ways to create with or without a studio behind them. so please keep making cool stuff! even if out of spite!!!

hi in the midst of a terrible week for animators and vtubers i just want to say how much i love vtubing and the huge collaborative effort that goes into the artistry of this funny little niche whether it be design, models, rigs, music, animation, graphics, backgrounds, editing! there's so much ART!

This really is it, this is the part that keeps me raging against the machine. Every day of my career I’m shoulder to shoulder with incredible people, pouring their skill & point of view into the work they do, making choices that amaze and delight me. Frame by frame, drawing by drawing…that’s THE job

are people actually mad about indie animation or do you all just still use the Getting Mad at Everything social media site because idk there might be some kind of algorithmic bias i feel like i always go on here and people are mad about people getting mad and i never see the inciting argument LOL??

don't be scared this is a good announcement i'm just long-winded

Big news in BZ town— I GOT A NEW JOB! Starting next week I’ll be working part time, just two days a week to cover my base expenses and take the edge off of taxes.

As much as I love rigging, freelance commission work is not for the faint of heart. My prices may look expensive to an outsider, but after factoring in the hours of work I put into my craft and self-employment taxes, what I take home is below minimum wage where I live. After getting sick for so long last year— and my illness was partially extended by work stress— I realized my financial situation was untenable and decided I needed to make a change for the better. So I did!

But what does this mean for you? Most importantly, I will be closing my commissions to NEW clients. For the forseeable future, my commissions will be limited to friends, “family” (past vtuber children), and those already on my waitlist. I may open up my public queue in a limited fashion in the future, but for now I have to focus on finishing prior obligations while I adjust to a new personal schedule.

For my clients that I am currently working with, updates and timelines might take a little longer than before. Under this new schedule I should still be able to maintain all current deadlines. Should this change I will communicate any conflicts with the affected clients ASAP.

As for streams, they will be greatly limited while I finish current rigs and adjust to my new work schedule. I will be taking a hiatus from streams for a few weeks, but hope to return with at least one stream a week before long. As I clear my queue, I plan to add more streams back in!

My end goal with this change is that by diversifying my workload, I will be able to reclaim some time and creative energy for my own streams. Ultimately, after finishing my current queue, I want to invest more time into myself and my personal goals as an artist and a streamer. I want to make items and customizable models for the community, I want to make shorts and videos that inspi…
