Today is #BestOfTheMonth as #BirdOfTheDay theme; your best shot for September.
Sept was a slow photography month, but we still managed to get out a few days. This Great Blue Heron decided not to stick around once we were spotted, but I did get some shots of it taking off.
#birdphotography #EFG is today's #BirdOfTheDay theme; birds beginning with any of those letters (1st name)
For today's theme I have a Great Horned Owl, sitting quietly and judging all of us...
#birdphotography Love the iridescent feathers on the Brewer's Blackbird when the light is just right.
#PhotographersUnited Mountain Bluebird. These guys are one of our signs that spring has arrived around here.
#PhotographersUnited Spring is starting to really get going around here. A trip to the local Botanical Garden is always nice, and it's a bonus when there's a chance to do some bird watching too.
I think this is a female Anna's Hummingbird.
#PhotographersUnited Well, I picked quite the week to retire from the day job of 25+ years...
Anyway, I guess I'll have more time to go out and chase the bluebird of happiness. Here's a male Western Bluebird we found last weekend.
