After months of work in Solid, this week we ran into a couple bugs that made me realize this isn’t a good fit for my team. One was a tooling bug, which was easily resolved, but another was a but in - I guess - solid router? But parametrized routes do not react to the parameter changing.

Pretty close to the stack that I want, a nice to have would be for it to be deployable through SST, but I’m already really happy that with the Durable Objects update @tinybase.bsky.social will be integral to collect all of my “operating” apps into one, sick, @expo.dev project 🙏

i bitch about it a lot but React Native is awesome. if you’re a native engineer you might feel skeptical, but it isn’t a lowest common denominator crossplatform abstraction. rather, i like to think of it as a scripting orchestration layer for platform views (which you can still write). like in games

This is incredibly sad. Arguably the best channel LTT had next to TechLinked. Honestly feels like Linus Tech Tips has been on a slow but awful decline, and these things keep proving me right :( That said it’s understandable a Mac channel under a PCMR brand doesn’t do to well, but it’s well-loved!

Do not - under any circumstance - buy dbrand screen protectors, or any of their products if you live in Europe. Paying north of 70 euros for neither to adhere correctly is a mistake I’ll only make once.
