Ford has rehired hundreds of senior engineers after replacing them with AI backfired and has cost the company billions of dollars. AI adoption is blamed for Ford being the most recalled automaker in the U.S. with 51 recalls covering over 11 million vehicles in the first half of 2026 alone.

Sometimes it can be so easy😄 I had to actually set the correct color, but otherwise the translucent option did the trick. Thanks!

Ah I mist a crucial part: it's about the modals (part 4 of the tutorials)

Hi Kadi! As an experiment I upgraded your example repo to SDK53 and on Android the headers fall behind the status bar (due to the new edge-to-edge default). The SDK53 changelog was a bit unclear on this, can you maybe explain (text/video) on the Expo way to fix them? Or is it a bug in Expo Router? 😅

Use @expo.dev and deploy your app to the web as well! www.theguardian.com/money/2025/f...

‘The tyranny of apps’: those without smartphones are unfairly penalised, say campaigners

From loyalty cards, to restaurant meal deals or simply parking your car – it is harder and harder to get by without signing up to a multitude of apps

It’s really well written! 👏 The docs say Expo Router UI is experimental, are you (comfortable with) using it in a production app?

One pattern I had to make a few times was drawers over tabs with an occasional modal that also overlaps the tabs.
