Recommendation to California voters: your voter pamphlets should be arriving. There are a LOT of propositions on the ballot. Look at who is for it, and who is against. If the ACLU and Bernie Sanders is FOR it, vote for it. If they are against (and there are some doozies) vote AGAINST.

Why are we still putting things in plastic? Shampoo, sour cream, detergent & dish soap, dishwasher pods... They need to be in recyclable cartons, like milk. And why isn't shampoo, detergent, and such in large containers with spigots in grocery stores to dispense into reusable cartons?

I've been getting a flurry of fake AI emails lately wanting me to join their book clubs, and even a fake film producer. All AI sound the same. Real people inviting me to speak to bookclubs don't use my personal email and they don't summarize my book where I already know the plot...cuz I wrote it.

Making pot roast for our upcoming vacation in Mammoth. Will bag it and freeze it for boiling-in-the bag suppers. Should be just the thing for those cold evenings in the high sierras. Can't wait!

Browning meat on the stove top. And now for adding onions.

Now we add the beef broth, wine, garlic, and herbs. Let it simmer and when it comes up, in the oven it goes for the next two hours. Next will be the carrots, celery, and potatoes. When it's ready for freezing, I will add frozen corn, and fresh cut string beans.
