20 Small Mazes AND 20 More, Somehow Even Smaller Mazes (2024, 2026) - I'm knocking a point off because I wouldn't call some of these mazes at all! Still absolutely delightful and you can't beat the price. 4/5

Yu-Gi-Oh! Season 0 (1998) - Nothing emphasizes the skill Kazuki Takahashi had to make compelling stories out of playing games than having someone else adapt his work and occasionally try to make up their own games, with middling to bad results. But the TTRPG arc got adapted, so it's not all bad. 3/5

non-card game example: Miho Nosaka was a one-off manga character who got upgraded to main character in Season 0 of the anime. When the YGO manga and anime rebooted to focus on the card game, she disappeared...except for the YGO Dungeon Dice Monsters GBA game, where her manga version is an opponent.

PowerWash Simulator 2 (2025) - I picked this back up (after losing like an hour and a half to a switch save glitch last year) as something low key to play while I waited for the new Fire Emblem to release and it has done that job more than admirably. Also, I liked the ending cutscene. 4/5.

Kamen Rider ZEZTZ (2025-2026) - This show spends about 2/3rds of it's runtime being uneven but generally good/great, and then the last 1/3rd simply fails to tie it all together and it's so disappointing. 3/5.

Splatoon Raiders (2026) - I think your enjoyment of this is going to depend a lot on both A) how much you like Splatoon single player/PvE stuff and B) how much you want more Deep Cut content. Luckily for me, my answer to both of those is "A Lot", so I really enjoyed it. 4/5.

Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity (2026) - Gavan Infinity feels like they made ~16 eps under the impression the show would last a full year, then had to rush the fuck out of the ending to fit it in 23 eps. I'd buy the dumb gun tbh. Solid enough first Project RED show, but uneven overall. 3/5.

to a T (2025) - The first two thirds of this made me go "yeah it's Keita Takahashi trying to do a more 'normal' game but I do wish it got a bit weirder with it" and then in the final third I became satisfied with the level of weirdness. 4/5.

Rhythm Heaven Groove (2026) - the only review I saw of this said "there's some issues with the presentation but otherwise this is a really fantastic Rhythm Heaven game" and that's basically where I've landed on it. 4/5.

Pikuniku (2019) - Not as funny as the first time around, which regrettably hampers enjoyment immensely since it's not really a game you go to for the gameplay. Still perfectly fine and looking forward to the sequel. 3/5.

oh last pokemon thing I'm gonna post tonight probably hopefully: I have the Pokemon Japan Championships on in the background and I managed to click over to it just in time to see someone's reaction to learning their opponent was running Soak on their Pelipper

The Legend Of Hei II (2025) - There was a part in this movie where I went "oh we must be gearing up for the climax now" and then I looked at a clock and realized we weren't even halfway through. It's a credit to this movie that I think it's better than the original despite that. 5/5.

Spidops. Terrible stats, terrible movepool, basically unusable even casually, a shame to the Bug type which I usually love, has a really lame design yet has the gall to try and look cool and mean mug in it's official art. The only big miss amongst ScarVio designs IMO.

Heat Wave giveth, Heat Wave taketh away

"just had the greatest comeback in Pokemon Champions history.

My opponent has a very Fast looking team (Aerodactyl, Excadrill w/ TTar so it's almost certainly on Sand Stream, etc), so I decide to run my Trick Room mode, by which I mean bring Mimikyu and Scizor and two other pokemon and hope for the best.

I call the first turn perfectly, protecting my Mega and using Trick Room with Mimikyu in the face of my opponents Aerodactyl (mega evolves and uses Tailwind, nice) and Chandelure.

Chandelure uses Heat Wave, which bounces off the protect and hits Mimikyu, but fails to deal damage through the Disguise...but gets the 10% burn. Mimikyu is effectively cut off at the knees for the rest of the fight.

My opponent prioritizes keeping their Chandelure alive, switching it in and out to avoid taking damage. Long story short, they successfully wait out the Trick Room and we're both left with only one pokemon each, their Chandelure at like 94% damage and my Scizor at like 33%.

I figure I'm absolutely toast, Scizor is absolutely fucked, so I just click Dual Wingbeat (the most damaging move my Scizor has for Chandelure) and wait for the loss screen.

My opponent uses Heat Wave again...and misses.

I get in for like 70% with Dual Wingbeat, finish them off the next turn with Bullet Punch."

The Legend Of Hei (2019) - The best part of this was seeing a bunch of random, extremely-designed characters that have cameos at most, and after the movie going "Oh, they must be a character that shows up in the web series, right?" And my friend going "lmao no". 4/5.

Heartcatch Pretty Cure! (2010) - I'm extremely not the target audience for this, but I still had a great time watching! Those Pretty Cure do be catching hearts. I might have given it a less than perfect score but the last couple of episodes really raised the bar for me. 5/5.

Kamen Rider Kuuga (2000) - That's some damn fine Kamen Rider. If it wasn't so copaganda-y I'd probably put it at or near the top. 4/5.
