Overall, I'd say LANTERNS ended reasonably well, but the show definitely needs some tightening (the finale could've lost 10-15 minutes) and to stop relying so much on momentum-breaking flashbacks.

Finally watched Netflix's BLACK DOVES, which was a real grind to get through, six episodes which were at least two episodes too many. So much wretched flashback storytelling, so much repetition, so much laying it on with a trowel, esp. in that dreadful, mawkish Lifetime-Christmas finale. Ugh.
