A throwback double #catportrait of Beanie and Birdie from last year. This was one of my largest pastel commissions - 70 x 50cm. It was a joy painting them and hearing about their rescue story :) #petpastel #petportrait #catart #nzartist #christchurchartist #pastelmat #carbothello #panpastels

I'm always trying to improve. I put my art next to the artists I admire and analyze what I can do better. At the moment I'm trying to improve contrast in my drawings. This cute dog was a practice piece, reference on unsplash - by Artem Sapegin #dogportrait #dog #art #pastel #pastelmat #nzartist

My latest pet pastel commission. This was a Christmas present. My new favorite way of doing these pet portraits is to make them into characters or people. I really want to do a Harry Potter or Disney princess pet portrait :) #petportrait #petpastel #petcommission #nzartist #nzart #doglovers

This #dogportrait was one of my favorites to work on from last year. The blanket was a bit of a challenge, but I really like how the piece turned out :) #petpastelportrait #nzartist #dogcommission #petart #art

Artwork of a reddit user whom requested to be drawn. I've been trying to find a medium that gives a consistent streak free background and this dye is top contender at the moment. #commissionsopen #charcoal #artist #art #commissions #buymyart #portrait #charcoal

Charcoal drawing of an Asian girl holding a hockey stick leaning towards the camera. The background is pink.

I seen a post somewhere about chromostereopsis. Thought I would give it a try myself. Not a total failure, but definitely more improvement needed. #art #ink #commissionsopen #portrait

Hey homies! I am requesting for quick emergency c0ms. On Mon night, I went to the hospital due to a kidney stone believing it was something even more lethal. As of today, I visited the hospital again bc I have a UTI. Both the visits were very expensive! RTs welcome!! Examples below:

My unashamed answer to this scammer. My Mum has helped me through some rough times this year. Thanks wolfking01 for the question, and I hope you find a way to live, that doesn't involve scamming others.

How I use references as an artist 💙 I try to take my own photos when possible or when I have a specific idea I'd like to convey. As you can see, generally I try to change, alter, or add things when using the reference - such as the setting, adding butterflies or mushrooms, changing colors etc.

Another speed portrait, this one took me 12 minutes. I'm having alot of fun trying to shorten my process to as little time as possible. I'm thinking $50nzd for an A4 speed portrait. What do you think? #commissionsopen #portrait #artist #charcoal ( Reference is from a pack on proko.com).

watercolour painting of a witch in a huge pointy brown hat with feathers in it (the point is tipped down to the left). It has a huge brim and she is looking out from under the brim and she has calm violet eyes and her hair is fluffy and white. Her gown is voluminous and covers her neck. She is sitting and you can see a leather bound book in her lap which is open and she is writing in it with one of her hands. The text on the image says artshare 5k and emilyhare.co.uk
