To be very very clear My Haiku isn't three lines of prose It's a computer Operating System

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 04/10/2026

Moe excitingly tho' a new 4 min slow blues groove is being formed here at O M S studio ONE There are now a few short length sessions here, so a combined upload is planned + Art Work & Liner Notes Update as and when.

I love writing in Pages I just fancied a dedicated computer+software for creative convenience The HP PC with ye olde Word '97 (I think) will be fine Haven't ruled out ChromeOS but I am confused by it being networked (is this right?) + I can't find an ISO on their website god knows I've tried

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 04/10/2026

Well, my Haiku OS project has hit a brick wall OS can't see external monitors (a known issue) + I have to manually connect wifi, probably a fix somewhere On the plus side the issue with it not opening Libre Office docs is resolved But my writing project ain't happening without the big screen ☹️

Y'know I remember the old days here Barely a day went by without me finding time to carve a new amusing psychic aperture into US Dipshit in Chief DJT But it was toooo, easy He was begging for the attention plus ripping off several taunts, fucking them up & missing the point when he used them

000

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 01/10/2026

Is this Déjà vu? I am mulling over installing Haiku OS on my Dell Notebook - Currently the unhappy homeplace for a de-bloated yet still gruesome Win11 build It would be a kewl project tbh - as long as wifi works I quite fancy it with a word processor for writing projects I have in the Autumn

I note the; "Let's Brainstorm!' or whatever it was labelled, button on Chrome has gone - Leaving the: 'Do more with AI' & the 'Create Pictures' buttons I expect they'll go soon too, although the 'Brainstorm' one did interest me No a lot but I was curious.

Another, somewhat, off kilter, 'small but...' - recorded late last night Just reviewing and removing approx: 83.6% unnecessary\redundant guitar parts It'll thank me for it. Mic is right place for more recording today - but unfortunately, I'm not.

AU Plugin here - I 'may' go crazy and buy the Klark Teknik version, but there is no pressing demand atm

oh yeah, nearly forgot My EVH bespoke pedalboard (fixture) has had its day - Heavy as hell+a nightmare to arrange easily So, we now have a Palmer Pedalboard 40 in situ. Palmer Power brick and cables very tidily deployed - Still to fix pedals in place but tests are pretty much concluded.

Quite a productive week here at O M S Four, I think, short, 3-4 min pieces nicely recorded & mixed - Will put 'em up some time later on ye olde website. Not quite sure what they represent apart from short completed demo projects but all worthwhile experience. Mixtures of Arp Synth tones + Strat

000

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 15/09/2026

I amazed myself by recording (demo version) a Synth piece of music for my UK /. UFO project Will eventually appear on new dedicated website Pretty far out - Heavy and pumping. Just like the FTL propulsion room I imagine

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 10/09/2026

I spent some time re-working the track, but to be honest its a wild mess and unsalvageable.

000

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 09/09/2026

A bit rough & overly energetic at times The drum track 'is' designed to break up, but the other edge of distortion vibe is due to peak signals You need to bring 'em down if you want a clean sound - Plenty of headroom Otherwise distortion A interferes with distortion B when it exits your speakers

Well, I finally managed to record some music My daughter sent me an audio file from Soton Hosp of her babby's heartbeat, 3 -4 months, and I added some vibes to it. Will upload a link when I find a minute. It sounds like Jon Bonham from Led Zep. I have called it Abi's Bonzo Beat.

000

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 05/09/2026

I'll work on it over the weekend and if interesting, post an audio sample and pics to further explain. Or forget & check on the long anticipated rain.

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 05/09/2026

To clarify: The sound from the amps is heard in front of me, in the studio space when I sit at the far end of the amps in the middle. Rather like the stereo Triangle position from home Hi Fi speakers. Probably not a revelation to engineers, but it opens up a few options as to where to place a mic

010

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 05/09/2026

During a rearrangement of the Amps at O M S, I discovered a strange audio truth: The Marshall faces the Blackstar amp & the resulting blend of sound appears precisely ahead of the amps Recording trials will start asap: Directing the mic into open space: Pointing at an empty room filled with sound.

010

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 04/09/2026

Cables etc 2 of 2 The reason I reset the cables was a frayed poorly connected cable to one of the MA floor speakers producing a worrying fuzzy distortion But actually getting the work effort together is difficult Nothing beyond single small areas of reality exist in my sole partially useful eye

000

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 04/09/2026

It has taken ALL week but I have finally re-wired my monitors I have 2 Mission bookshelf size & a gifted pair of Monitor Audio floor standing speakers Fed by a NAD amp via a small AVLink switch It took so long as I just find my increasing lack of vision to be a fucking drag. 1 of 2

Not a lot on BS regarding the cataclysmic economic disaster rolling with glacial certainty towards the USA Quite why Trump baited Canada as if it were a stupid nice guy that wanted desperately to be best friends & was delighted to put up with endless shit I will never fathom. Possibly no one will

I don't have any Dolly Parton records, CD's or a current country music stream ... but as my wife told me of Dolly's death, 'Dancing with Mr. D' by the Rolling Stones came on That'll have to do as a musical full stop & permanent reminder of this evening August 25th 2026 Sussex, England

I would have thought Trump would be renaming Lake Ontario: 'The Lake of Fire' But the obvious is never an option for Mr Trump & his thugs, not when they can lash out at insignificant & unnecessary fantasies in a vain attempt to shore up their beyond restoration mental & moral being.

The week in Tech pt 3: Google Spell Check - Being deliberately turned OFF by enemies in US Gov, to make my clearly readable condemnations into quarter-witted dribbling honks. CORRECTION: Check that you haven't made a change to Language settings, as they will fuck up yr realtime spell checking.

The week in Tech pt2: Well, after a lot of hard work + a visit to the Dentist to remove an extremely wobbly & infected wisdom tooth, I have abandoned all but currently stable OSes. Seems weird, but after that septic nasher was excised and the poison drained, I just felt an all over betterment

Last week in Tech: #AmazonDeliveries Why have prefered delivery option if you guys ignore them AND when challenged claim there may be a dog running loose. Or some fucking excuse... Do you want me to make the front door area into a deadly deathtrap just to encourage you to go to the rear door? hmmm

Nearly there! another 'final' read of all the UFO docs & bumph Fine tuned for consistency + ease on the eye Still to go through the art, but no rush PLUS! in a brilliant idea last night, I have bought a new domain & will set it up in WP especially to host the project. More on that later ...

I don't mind if AI 'did' take over & concluded its best option for dominance was to wage war against other AI It might possibly put Amazon's flying delivery option out of business + collapse Tesla's self driving vehicles operation But would make for a better world

Not a great list (it's nice to have one tbh) 1. Complete Hey Joe recording + Mix etc 2. Re-do Artwork for Hey Joe 3. Make PDF copies and Artwork for UFO story for tentative short Title sequence film 4. Re-image the hopelessly warped Win 11 HDD with a fresh build. 5. Put up Guitar Hangers

Working my way through various NAM software rigs - Not entirely sold on the concept. I do have plenty of very good Amps I have set up in Logic via it's Amp farm, but some high energy output is being constructed - Will emply one to finish Hey Joe Just too hot up here to really enjoy recording atm

But, it was worth a re-visit to MS land. If only to learn about the extra support for Win10 + the Dark Mode fix I have a few select projects I can run on it - my 'An Englyshe Hallowe'en,' story - Which I think has potential being grounded firmly in folk lore & the quiet madness of Sussex villages

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 10/08/2026

ok, managed to retain my grip on reality: Kali-Linux experiment: ON HOLD Not sure I want to spend my time poking about under the floorboards of random computers. Not my scene Win11 ON HOLD Mainly to allow the un-enroll trial stuff roll back, or forward, to normal + Win10 is miles better anyway.

jezz reynolds @jeremy-reynolds.uk · 08/08/2026

Turns out, via the power of Arrow Keys, y'can select an English UK keyboard during setup. I found out on a 2nd, fresh install of Kali-Linux Probably not the wisest scheme to run it on an unsupported Win11 PC with an Insider Preview session too. But I am getting some good PowerShell experience
