Estimating the volume of a sitting cat statue
A cat sitting on its haunches is roughly an oval/egg-like form. For a 10-12" tall statue, let's say 11" (28 cm) as our midpoint. A sitting cat is typically about:
• Height: 28 cm
• Width (shoulder to shoulder): ~12 cm
• Depth (chest to back): ~14 cm
A sitting cat isn't a solid block, so we model it as a rough ellipsoid and subtract for the slender neck/head and legs. A reasonable estimate for the total volume of the body mass is around 1,800-2,400 cm3 — let's use 2,000 cm? as a round working figure.

But instead of any sort of nuanced debate over the validity of specific mandatory minimums (and I should point out here, I don't actually object to all mandatory minimum sentences), we get blind outrage from the politicians in this country who excel at stoking outrage, and who will leverage the average Canadian's ignorance to their political benefit. Scarce are the people who will actually read, or even read about, the Court's reasons in this case, but many will end up hearing about 'how the Supreme Court let all the child pornographers loose.' What we witnessed in the reactions yesterday is an effort to sow ignorant enmity towards the courts, threatening broader political polarization over the judiciary. We need only look south of the border to see where this can lead.

Mark Waters says sales at his Odessa, Texas, tools business, which he describes as a "Home Depot for the oilfields," are down about 10 percent. He does not regret voting for Trump, saying he is willing to take a personal hit to support the president's agenda.
But he said it is ironic that over the decades he has made a lot more money when the party he despises is in power.
"The oil business has thrived under Democratic leadership despite them being true haters of all things fossil," Waters said. "For whatever reason, I made millions of dollars under Clinton. Then I made even more under Obama and Biden. I have never had a solid explanation.
