Updating OpenCode to v2 today and trying to figure out how Docker Sandboxes work. More specifically, how can I use the official OpenCode image instead of the outdated image sbx uses by default?

Siri AI on macOS can’t see or control the speakers in my Apple Home. It’s a HomePod mini and an AirPlay 2 receiver. I’m not sure if this is because Siri AI isn’t available on iOS in the EU yet, but from my understanding, it’s just shitty Apple Home integration.

Zählt das, was Katherina Reiche da macht, eigentlich schon als Sabotage, oder ist die einfach nur dumm? 🙃

Big day for Siri. Just not in the EU, where some bureaucrats apparently decided people would prefer not to get new things and be left behind instead 😭

Anyone tried BrewUI yet? Have to admit, Homebrew was the last thing I ever expected to get a GUI. Still not sure it actually needs one.

Like standing on its own for watching movies or doing hands-free FaceTime, or putting the outer display to good use when taking pictures, etc.

The Duo actually seems like a pretty pragmatic device to me, with the software and form factor working nicely together to solve a lot of little everyday problems.

Just took a look at the Duo’s tech specs. Apparently, there are no compromises with the display compared to the Pro. And the USB-C connector supports DisplayPort?! Now that’s interesting 🤔

I’m more excited to join the TestFlight beta for Lettera, Bear’s standalone Markdown editor, than I am about GPT-6. Haven’t even read the announcement yet, but I expect a completely exaggerated press release full of bullshit introducing what are actually solid but boring incremental improvements.

MiMo 2.5 has been falling behind in the benchmarks lately, but it’s still my favorite open-weights model to work with in an agentic context. Not the brightest light under the sun, but exceptionally good at actually following instructions. And still among the cheapest to use.

Sandboxing agents at the OS level is possible. Why isn’t this already implemented by every harness out there? I mean, it’s obviously the right thing to do. zed.dev/blog/sandbox...

How would you introduce breaking changes to a public Docker image? The images don’t have their own version numbers and just track upstream versioning. The runtime images should remain fully compatible, but the dev variant might break multistage builds. 🤔

For an industry loudly insisting AI has basically solved software development, things are still surprisingly fucked, either as buggy as ever or completely broken the moment you poke your nose even slightly beneath the surface.

Nice to see AI is just as dumb as I am. It spent forever wondering why the debugger wasn’t working, when really it had just forgotten to set any breakpoints 😂

Current state of AI coding agents, no-bullshit version: GLM 5.2 struggles with basic instructions, like using built-in tools instead of shell commands for simple tasks, while OpenCode’s edit tool apparently has a very bad time with Unicode characters. You’re welcome.

Saw Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day last night, and I’m still kinda baffled. Easily one of the dumbest movies I’ve seen in a long while, maybe only topped by the Wachowskis’ Jupiter Ascending. What the fuck happened here?

It’s the practical results of legislation and regulation that matter, not the intentions. The Japanese government seemingly gets that, and acts accordingly.

So when I complained about EU regulation affecting Siri AI, I got a lot of angry comments saying Google can do it too, and unlike Apple, doesn’t seem to have that kind of problem. Guess what now 😅 daringfireball.net/linked/2026/...

Never heard of the specific provider before and don‘t really care either, to be perfectly honest. But that‘s the beauty of it, I don‘t have to. The system actually seems to work pretty well.

I’m surprised. This is a technically sound move. You don’t have to switch apps or join another network. Keep using Bluesky and follow from your existing account. Also no need to re-follow people under a different handle. They simply moved their handles to a new provider. This is how it’s done!

That‘s similar to my setup, but lookup priority is MCP first, llms.txt second, local docs index third, then fallback to web search last. Pretty experimental, though.

Anyway, what actually is the current state of llms.txt adoption? Most projects at least have it now as a convenient index, but only a few provide a full Markdown version. Discovery still is a problem, too, models and coding agents don’t look it up by default? And how does it compare to a docs MCP?

I’ve always been suspicious of accounts commenting on pornbots, especially when it‘s so obviously AI generated. A lot of those accounts are bots themselves, designed to boost the pornbots. But seeing everyone share this supposed video of old Michael Jackson on a bus kinda makes me reconsider.

Everyone who wants to read Trump’s bullshit can already do so on Truth Social. Why are people resharing screenshots and force everyone else to read it too? It’s also impossible to know what’s fake or not with this idiot, so now I have to do extra work to verify it. Can we just not, please?
