The DA:I title screen might be my favorite of all time. The first time you start a new game... Chills.

Hiya! ✨️ I'm Jenny, a game writer & narrative designer, and this is #WhatAGameDevLooksLike Unfortunately not at GDC. Instead, I'm currently hanging out with my cat, which is pretty cool, too.

Don't just listen to players. If given the option, they'll optimize the game out of their games, and the story out of their stories. It's our job to filter information and data and feedback into good work, and while we'll sometimes miss it's better than blindly following surveys.

If you see this quote with a game you’ve replayed multiple times I've played the Mass Effect trilogy countless times. And every time I do, I make the exact same choices ✨️

Had a dream I was participating in a reality TV competition and had to write a song about mpreg. Wrote a song called "Boys can get pregnant." ...Clearly, my subconscious is a lyrical genius.

It really sucks to be part of an industry where no matter how much money the company makes, you can still lose your job because your game wasn't profitable enough, whatever that even means.

I've said it before, but "filler" originally described a specific phenomenon in anime adapted from manga: episodes and arcs created to "fill time" so the manga stayed ahead of the anime. That meaning has been mutated now to mean anything that doesn't explicitly further the plot. Which sucks.

It's the end of the year, and I'm feeling proud. I made 4 games this year! ✨️ Hopefully, I'll have time to continue my solo projects in 2025. I might have an idea for something more... blood-curdling, yet romantic.

I've got no rankings to give, but let me tell you: if you've been on the fence, whether you should play the game or not, I'd say give the game a chance! It really grows on you.

After 72+ hours, I've hit the credits in Veilguard. What a roller-coaster of emotions, and by the end, I really grew to love the game! It's good to have Dragon Age back!
