If you are estranged from your father, like I am, Father’s Day may be difficult. You are not alone. I’m fortunate to have wonderful father figures in my life (let’s hear it for stepfathers and in-laws 🥰) and a partner who is an incredible dad to our three children, so there is plenty to celebrate.

Estrangement is not a trend. Estrangement has always existed, along with the abuse and toxic families that necessitate it. But we're *talking* about it now — that's the change! Thanks to the internet and the destigmatization of therapy, we now find support in #estrangement. This has/will save lives.
