On Friday I’ll be sending out my first quest letter in over 12 years. You’d think with 7 books out it would be easier, but I can already feel the anxiety. I just need to keep reminding myself that querying determines how this book gets published. Not if it’s worth being published.

We adopted a new boy this past week to add to our business, and I had to google if ferrets yawn multiple times in a row last night. He must have yamned 8 times back to back and I had never seen that before. Pic of new friend Odi.

We added a 6th ferret to our business today. The age gap between the 4 girls and the baby we got at Christmas was too much. He needed a friend with the same play energy as him, and be his companion as they grow old together. So, welcome, Odysseus, Odi for short!

The colors and design elements are great. If it was me, I would make the center element a bit bigger, let it eat up more of the page. And work on the title treatment. Right now it doesn’t stand out enough. It’s the second thing your eye traveled too and not the first. Give it more contrast.

This beast caught a viral infection called ECE from the new baby ferret. Thankfully we caught it early and she’s on the mend. She’s super excited I’ve stopped shoving antibiotics down her throat.

I’d love to get more pictures of the baby ferret, but he never stops moving. The best I can do is when he’s stuck in a carrier with one of his sisters passed out after a vaccine. She used him as a pillow and he didn’t seem to care.

Surgery went well. But for the next 5 days I have to keep her from acting…well…like a cat. No jumping, running, or climbing. And when this is all done and said, she’s going to be more angry about her surgical suit, than the actual surgery.

The package was supposed to be delivered by DHL today. I get a text and email last night letting me know that I now owe another 111.00 on top of the 50.00 I already paid for Import Duty Payment. So, I googled it, because I don't believe anything at face value anymore.

I don't ever want to hear the GOP talking line of the consumers don't pay the tariffs again. They are nothing but liars. Ordered a Christmas gift for my mom from Britain. It was not cheap, but it is something I know she will love and wanted to get her. I paid 50.00 in shipping at purchase.
