Have you tried Ink/Stitch? It's an embroidery plug-in for inkscape. The workflow is better for converting vector graphics to embroidery patterns, but it can open and edit the patterns themselves. I've only just gotten started with this hobby, but it was a good first experience

Um, maybe? I kind of read it as L3-37 died and they transferred her memories to the Falcon. I know someone said something like "she's part of the ship, now" but I'm not sure how literal or reliable that is. Feels more like saying someone "lives in our hearts" about a deceased person

It had clear, simple themes and archetypal characters. Those themes and archetypes were constantly reinforced in the dialog, costumes, music, and cinematography. This made it very legible to children, which led to many of those children liking it. That is not the same thing as being a movie for kids
