Love the heat. I'm the type of person that eats lunch outside in searing heat. After three days of nearly 100F heat, I felt differently. Then it stormed. It raged. I came home to downed trees, a backyard in disarray. Now, it's 60 degrees. Climate extremes are far more common. Climate change is real.

I’ve talked about Claudette Colvin many times, but her story was almost erased. She was a beautiful soul and unsung civil rights pioneer. At just 15, she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus. This act of courage paved the way for the larger civil rights movement.
