Fake feminists will tell you they believe in women's empowerment when they really only believe that empowerment can come from patriarchal positions of authority. Empowerment is an internal authority over ones body. Therefore, true feminism means women can be both authoritative and submissive.

I ended up in a wheelchair overnight. While I recovered 9 months later, the entire experience was completely jarring. I knew it was bad. But to know it and to live it are so distant. What I never anticipated was for all my credibility and competence to be perceived as obsolete by strangers.

Nahhhh Life is Strange Double Exposure rocks. The breakup was a good creative decision. Safi is a good character. They nailed exactly what an older Max would be. Not perfect, but genuinely great. It's a shame it didn't resonate with people the way earlier entries did.

This is also how I've come to understand my former conservatism. When my whole worldview changed, I couldn't fathom how I even upheld my conservative beliefs. Recently, years after bettering myself, I realized how much effort I had put into keeping my ignorance, refusing to draw my own conclusions.

I used to enjoy debate, until debate replaced the obligation to research. Instead of finding the correct answers, people believe they are owed dissenting argument in order to learn. They turn fact into argument and declare themselves judge. If you can't sway willful ignorance, you must be wrong!
