Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I hate it when I go grocery shopping and get home only to realize I forgot two items I need for dinner tonight. 100
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I have so much grading to do and I really just want a day off. 000
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 29/09/2026There really needs to be a sub system in place for college profs. Right now so extremely grateful one of my colleagues can cover my lab because Missy sure did spend the night throwing up and having diarrhea. Right up to me getting dressed this morning. Five guesses where we are? 130
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I love/hate the journal assignment in one of my courses, but the one nice thing is that they're easy to grade outside. And appease a puppy in the process. 020
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 27/09/2026You meet the darndest people on public transportation. Tonight was a man around my parents age from Savannah who's worked in electric and light on film crews for the past 30 years. Including Marvel movies. He also told me all about Savannah's history. It was definitely one of the best MARTA rides. 120
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 26/09/2026That moment you have the timing for MARTA perfect. Only to fuck it up by leaving the phone in the car and not realizing till you're on the platform. These tap in tap out gates are apparently not made for sudden lapses in idiocy. An employee had to let me out. 100
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Missy had to go to the vet this morning for a follow up in the swollen hock joint. I got her a pup cup after but she's still acting annoyed whenever I come near her. Sigh. It was for your own good, puppy! 🙄 020
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 22/09/2026This Futurama/Disenchanted crossover was the pick me up I needed this week. I've missed Disenchanted. 000
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 20/09/2026So that's the second jar in this set of four that is now gone. All that sugar! 😩 000
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 20/09/2026I am having the worst time focusing on work today. 😑 Can I just do bare minimum and bead instead? 001
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 19/09/2026No, I did not just spend $70 on beads at Michael's because I've been on a beading kick and want to try delica beads in peyote stitch. And am trying to be a responsible human being and not shop at Hobby Lobby. I miss JoAnn's. 131
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 19/09/2026So one of the policy brief groups in my environmental policy class is looking at offshore wind farms as their topic. I am doing a little dance of joy because this was the topic of my master's thesis 16 years ago. It's only taken teaching a policy class for the 4th time to find students interested. 021
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Well, it took a month for the first recommendation request. But it's for a student who was in four different classes I taught, so it's someone I got to know very well. That always makes it easier to write! 020
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Idk if it's something to do with no laptops or just this particular group of students, but I swear I've never had this level of participation in Intro to Env Studies before. I still have those more comfortable than others, but I got new voices today and it's amazing. 120
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Stupid thing to be proud of, but I caught a waterbug and took it outside without screaming once. 020

Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 14/09/2026So my mom's friend died today. He was my emergency contact when I lived in Arkansas because he lived in Tennessee. I ran over his mailbox the time I stayed overnight on my first long solo roadtrip (that passed through Nashville). He never complained. He was a good person. Weird he's gone. 210
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Stepping over a dog the exact second she raises her head does not end well for human or dog. (We're both ok. Just a little (a lot in my case) startled. I now feel super guilty for accidentally kicking her in the head.) 000
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Went to Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebrations today with the school. The celebration was really cool and the mounds are amazing. I really need to go back so I can really explore. It was also really cool to experience a different nation's arts and traditions rather than the ones I'm used to up north! 120

Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 11/09/2026So based on all the badges I've found, going to Dragon Con last Sunday made it my 10th Dragon Con and 15th con overall. Which, given all the money and time constraints in my life, isn't half bad I think. I really need to find a better way to display all of these some day. 010

Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 11/09/2026And Missy's ankle is swollen. I had to stop the car short on the way to the vet because the light suddenly changed and she fell. So on top of the annual visit she's getting today, she's now getting an x-ray. 🫥 100

Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Well. 25 years. And I still remember that day and the days after too clearly. ❤️🩹 NYC. 010
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Well, dog sure had a panic attack tonight. Which means I'm currently stuck in bed with her sleeping against me because I'm afraid if I move, she'll start panting again. So I'm looking at enso rings and debating unnecessary purchases instead. 011
Jenny @jenhaneve.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Scheduled covid and flu vaccines for this afternoon because might as well get them done ASAP. Especially since Covid is apparently going around the campuses. 😬 130
