A few years ago, Apple's Messages app suggested the pronoun "she" to complete the phrase "I asked the teacher if" and the pronoun "he" to complete the phrase "I asked the doctor if." Apple fixed it, but guess what! Turns out sexism is not just a word or two, but structural! This is from today.

as someone who hated textbooks, and always tried googling first, this is terrible. it never worked! i always ended up back at text sources! google was never going to replace vetted learning materials, & it’s sure as hell not gonna in its current iteration of only delivering ads tied to your search.

I probably paid a little more than I should have for this photo but I love it. I love the cat’s position and expression, I love the texture of the fur and the grass/foliage, and I love the ethereal light leaks. From my collection, no info known.

Black and white photo of a medium haired white cat riding up on its haunches, it’s forepaws slightly blurred with motion as of reaching for something out of frame above its head. It is outside on a lawn, the crunchy dark texture of the grass and hedges contrasting nicely with the light smoothness of its fur. Emerging from the lawn below it are patches of light as if something spectral is emerging from the earth (I believe this is because the film was accidentally exposed to additional light either within the camera or at some point during processing).
