Yeh the waypoints annoys me too actually. I dont think its a 'bad season' per say but there have been so many amazing games out this past few months its harder to consistently return back when its anything other than great.

Yeah I am an absolute sucker for roguelikes in general but there is always some kind of progress to be made regardless of if a run is fruitful or not, whereas Blue Prince feels like it has diminishing returns once you get past a certain point. I sincerely hope it gets a GOTY nom though.

I tapped out after hitting Room 46 the 2nd time and realising I had run out of enough steps to get this incredible item to the cloak room. It was a "fuck this game" moment. Yet I still randomly pick it up trying to remove boxes from the passage because I revel in the suffering.
