Last night we watched "Together" (2025) and it really blew us away. Totally not what we expected. Some quality body horror in there, but the thematic twists were what really did it. Wouldn't wanna spoiler anything if you haven't already seen it. Must watch horror film.

Post reading: I don't mean to downplay sexual assault but I also have known a lot of good people who had to learn healthy boundaries by violating someone else's and never forgetting the experience

"The Outsider" (2020) series was probably the best Stephen King based production I've ever seen. Absolute shame they canceled it after a single measly season. Great vibes throughout. A horror mystery where the crime is slowly unveiled, but hard for the characters to swallow.

"The Gift" (2015" is such a tremendous ride. It takes such surprising turns. A very well crafted story, creepy, unnerving, cathartic at times. Just rewatched it and it still holds up oh so well.

MEGAN 2.0 is a direct sequel to the first. Except, unlike the first, which was horror... it's a pure comedy. And it's not a very well written comedy? But don't worry, it compensates for the unfunny jokes with sheer quantity of them. Everything is a bad joke or poor acting (which is funny, trust me)

I feel like the only fiction that ever seriously tackles the issue of what such long lifespans would do to a mind, is vampire stories. Which reminds me of the song "If We Were Vampires":

Just watched "Tango and Cash" and... I can't think of a single redeeming thing to say about it. Every single aspect was dreadful. Even Kurt Russel stank in this, and I like him! The writing was abysmal, and the soundtrack terrible.

Ocarina of Time was the story of a boy forced to sacrifice his youth and grow up far too soon for the sake of helping others. And for that reason: yes I was one of those who teared up at the teaser. This game hit me at the perfect time in my life. A masterpiece that claimed a spot in my heart.

In fact the US has kept Afghanistan's money, literally starving children there that it was needed to feed. Vietnam was barred from trading on the world market until it paid the US back -- with interest -- for the cost of massacring millions of Vietnamese. (Which they only recently did.) Good read!

The Vietnam War was a humiliating defeat for the United States. Afghanistan was a debacle. What both of these defeats have in common, however, is the absence of broader implications. The Americans went home defeated, and the war ended.

This snippet of Star Trek Next Generation got a lot of traction for a while because of people's hope for Irish reunification. But what was really standout was Data putting the comfortably detached Picard in his place: Violence is sometimes the only tool the oppressors leave the oppressed.
