Bob wants to testify to the danger of late dinner. He has made numerous complaints to the staff at his home about this very issue! He & Misty have resorted to a lay down strike in an effort to get food-or at least trip the humans.

I made the mistake of reading this out loud to my daughter & now our 3 cats are asking questions about why they don’t have enough toys & equipment.

My garden here, not always this green or blooming, but always something interesting to see:

Our sr cat Sam would yell all the way there and back, then go all through the house when he returned to make certain everything was okay. He died a little more than a year ago at 17. Our sweet anxious orange tabby:

Just sitting here reading posts, looked up & saw this through the dining rm window:

Picture taken through a window. Squirrel hanging off the side of a blue bird feeder that is on a pole attached to an aluminum cylinder that is intended to keep them off. Showed this to our cat Sadie, as a cautionary tale. She spends time every day or so meowing at the basement door. She just hid her face behind my arm and ignored me.

State of our backyard today: the Red Wing Blackbirds have arrived in force, looking for food until the lakefront spring bushes & trees start producing seeds; Finches get their red feathers to attract the ladies; & the Coopers Hawk shows up in hopes an unwary mouse or bird will notice her too late.

Our cat Sadie, who often sleeps with head & upper body twisted one way, lower body turned the opposite way. She is on the floor here, but also does this in chairs with her head against the back or side. If I did this I would have a sore neck for days.

Absolutely. As a person who has 3 cats in our household now, & has had 4, the struggle is real. But the rewards are worth it.

Reading this thread and realizing our sweet departed Samwise was an absolutely 💯% orange tabby weirdo. Sitting with head cocked, sleeping on his face, and he always got into the litter box, scratched, then put both front feet outside and squatted to pee.

Why is it that the biggest cats have the tiniest highest meow? Example below

A sad #Caturday in our hearts and house-we lost our sweet 18+ year old cat, Sam. Old age caught up with him and we had to take leave of him, sending him across the rainbow 🌈 bridge.

Our cats will gather round and look concerned like they do when we have to give our 18 yr old cat his monthly B12 shot. Of course, they will expect treats afterward.
