I sure know a number of people who seem like they would be better off with less contact with parents, but who aren't ready for that for various reasons.

Her prediction, between the quality, thickness, and typical beginner tension, is that this will make scarves that stand up on their own.

According to a friend who has touched it, it's not even *good* acrylic.

Serious gym users might, but I doubt the average person does - and nutrition will also make a difference.

A sketch of a jackdaw, leaning down towards the bottom left of the image. It is drawn in black ballpoint pen, grey Ecoline pen, and black ink brush pen

There seem to be a lot of people who think you can only call something a genocide after it succeeds.

You can reference the set without using the same selection of authors. And if that is the idea, why is Confucius there?

The US criminal justice system is not designed to prevent crime or even to punish the guilty. It's objectively, quantifiably, not very good at either of those things🤷🏿‍♂️ It is designed to arrest, convict, and incarcerate, large numbers of innocent, poor, Black, men. It is the best in the world at that

Assorted scams, mostly - selling fake craft patterns is the one I most commonly see in the circles I spend time in.

Just today, I saw it identify a beat-up 20p piece as medieval, with a whole bunch of justifications. So yeah, seems it's still incompetent, along with all the other associated evils.

Not enough to change the result of the election? Is there anything a Democrat candidate could do or say that would cause you to not vote for them?

Entry-level employees actually learn things, and I would fire one who was as consistently unreliable as an LLM.

I always preferred the Boolean operators approach - I could type fewer words, and refine my search in predictable, controllable ways. Searches that have tried to guess what they think I mean have always made things worse.

I have fairly vague and flexible to do lists that exist primarily in my head. I can't imagine an AI making them better.

I only sporadically use calendars, because I forget to write things in them, and even more often forget to check them.

I have bounced off Fallout 4 for something akin to that, but it was more a mismatch of expectations. I expected a character that I could self define, started play, and found the game kept telling me things about my character that didn't match that. Not an issue with something clearly narrative.

Right, which is why many of us don't listen to it and thus might not know about whatever music it features. That's not living in a bubble, it's having preferences.

If nothing else, the AI has no sense of context, and no theory of mind to do things like notice how a thing might be misunderstood.
