One of the least serious and most unqualified person the entire administration. Think about how low that bar is.

Jeff Rickard @jeffrickardr1.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I think we’ll see more races with closed circuits and some grandstands at decisive points and finish lines. Something like that could work - 15 to 25 miles of open road but a some areas where maybe they can put a few thousand people. Would work at big races and some grand tour stages.

Can you imagine if Pog had stayed in the race? 6 for Tadej, 6 for Brennan and 2 for Wout? Crazy.

But they’re all piggy backing on her popularity and they (along with the league) should appreciate that. Ratings for Fever games aren’t even approached by other games.

He’s facing several challenges, chief among them, the C7 problem. Until that is healed, even though it is stable, they really don’t want him moving around a ton. He also won’t be able to have the surgery until they clear him from by the concussion which could be a few days, or even longer.

1. As someone who has suffered his fair share of cycling injuries, this sports sucks sometimes. 2. I am happy for Coquard 3. This entire stage was brutal. 4. There are no silver linings, but at least I get four hours of my day back.

So much winning… he’ll ultimately be “first” at being last in virtually every category.

That’s great IF you trust those in power to only use that technology to catch criminals. One cop was found using to surveil his ex over 700 times. Who is watching THEM?

If KNP wants to have any chance of winning this tour, she needs to let the group reform. She’s probably not going to drop Demi, which means her only hope would be to win and get the 10 second bonus, while Vollering is out-sprinted by at least two others. #TourDeFranceFemme #TDFfemmeAvecZwift

This race is looking decided, but I’m still excited to see the Alpe d’ Huez stages in person this month. Cheers!

Fair point on the imbalance. I do think some sort of salary cap would help but I don’t know how they’ll pull that off.

Isn’t it plain disrespectful to “let“ someone win at the highest level of sport? If I ever felt like I was allowed to win something by a superior opponent, I think that would piss me off more than them being so aggressive and ruthless. Just my two cents, I always appreciate your perspective.

Jeff Rickard @jeffrickardr1.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

I completely understand, in a sports context, rooting against writers or teams are not even having a good feeling about them. Perfectly normal, but if athletes train all day every day and work so hard, why wouldn’t they want to win anything and everything they can? 1/2

Compared to TNT, the NBC/Peacock studio show is old, stuffy and not in character with bike racing. It’s just not fun. There are elements of Peacock I enjoy but TNT is a superior broadcast.

After watching the post race interviews from yesterday - I think they’re all just cooked. Look at the time splits - I think Jonas and Tadej have turned themselves inside out and it’s destroyed the field.

How did @soudalquickstep.bsky.social completely miss the break? You have a sprinter with a chance for yellow today and Remco after the time trail in a few days - how on earth are you not constantly at the front all day long waiting for the wind to split the peloton? Complete team failure.
