Sign the petition calling on the House of Commons to strengthen national security checks for political leaders and candidates www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en...
A formal petition addressed to the Canadian House of Commons. The petition is from citizens and residents of Canada and requests the following:
	1.	National security and intelligence agencies should review potential security risks related to political leadership and ensure that all candidates for party leadership and high office undergo security vetting.
	2.	Mechanisms should be implemented to improve transparency in the vetting process of political candidates, to increase public confidence while respecting legal and privacy protections.
	3.	National safeguards against foreign interference in democratic institutions should be strengthened, and all elected officials should meet the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and national loyalty.

Most mature companies are in Bureaucrat Mode - lots of layers - action requires escalation - performance regresses to the mean
Alt text:
A LinkedIn post by Andrew Chen satirically titled “Bureaucrat mode,” listing characteristics of overly bureaucratic organizations. The list includes: forming committees for every decision, holding pre-meetings to prep for meetings, expanding project scope constantly, requiring full consensus to make decisions, punishing initiative, demanding status reports before progress, creating complex approval workflows, celebrating vanity metrics, rewarding based on perceived impact via headcount, involving legal/brand/compliance on all tasks, and obsessing over downside risk. The post ends with the prompt: “… what else?”

Totally get why Perplexity and advertisers want this, but why would a user want this vs a generative UI approach like Brain.ai? youtu.be/1ti8msoUg98?... The reason adblockers are so popular isn't that the ads lack hyper-personalization

Trying this one tomorrow
Mocha Protein Ice Cream for Ninja Creami
Ingredients:

1 cup oat milk
30g (about 1 scoop) whey protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
1½-2 tablespoons instant coffee or espresso powder (≈100mg caffeine)
1-2 tablespoons sweetener of choice (stevia, monk fruit, or erythritol)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon xanthan gum
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Blend all ingredients until completely smooth (the xanthan gum will help prevent separation)
Pour into your Ninja Creami pint container
Freeze for at least 24 hours until completely solid

A graph titled 'COMMIT MAGIC' showing the intersection of 'Vibe Coding' and the 'Ballmer Peak'. The X-axis shows Blood Alcohol Content (0.0% to 0.2%) and the Y-axis shows Coding Ability from 'Sober' to 'Peak' to '✨Transcendent✨'. Two curves intersect - a pink line labeled 'Ballmer Peak' and a blue line labeled 'Vibe Coding'. At their intersection is a glowing green starburst, with green dotted branch lines extending outward to small computer icons. The caption at the bottom reads 'Where the bugs are features and the commits are poetry'.

Happy 5th "Large boulder the size of a small boulder" anniversary to those who celebrate:
A snowy road with a large boulder blocking the eastbound lane of Highway 145, as noted by a San Miguel Sheriff alert. The sheriff’s vehicle is parked on the right side of the road with its logo visible. The alert describes the boulder as ‘the size of a small boulder,’ adding to the comedic tone. Trees line the road in the background, and the scene captures a wintery atmosphere.
