I love the NPS. I took a picture of this sign at the Petrified Forest, you need to read the fine print at the bottom.

I love the “Feeling Nostalgic” feature. Today one of the comics included this wonderful image of Gabe aggressively snapping at someone. I’m not an artist, but I would think “aggressive snapping” is something that requires some thought, and this nails it. I hope I have the need to do this some day.

I’m 58 years old, some of them are almost that old 😅 I have a PowerBook 170 in the garage somewhere (knowing the internet they’s probably instructions for installing Linux and running DOOM on it somewhere), my current laptop is 6 years old.

What a decade that was, so many books on here had an affect on me, Neuromancer, Ender’s Game, the Pratchett books (though I didn’t get introduced to them for another decade or more), Douglas Addams, Margaret Atwood. I’ll post one I haven’t seen yet. This one took me off guard.

Tangentially, did you know Popeye was modeled after a real living person? This Frank "Rocky" Fiegel, a Polish-born barroom brawler that Elzie Segar modeled Popeye after. It didn’t take much exaggeration to turn him into a cartoon.
