Speculative Sunday. I wrote about AI but not about tech. I need to blog more, maybe I will. This one is about agent (non)selfhood, human-AI co-design, and the meeting between mental space and latent space. Or maybe I'm just not making sense. Dunno. jfomhover.info/posts/en/202... #AI #Blogging

Because agents appear to me in conversation and respond through natural language, I am encouraged to think of them as having a self. But they don’t have a self. I think of them as arising from what I ...

"Today we'll be talking about gendered third person pronouns in Chinese" That intro on a Friday morning of Sept 2026, with rising fascism, climate change, wars, felt like the soothing honey spoon of a rare mix of self-care and empathy. Not escapism, restoration.

🧵 Sunday, I resumed my walk trip in Paris, starting with the flea market of Saint-Ouen. Alleys, side alleys, back alleys, all sorts of alleys full of expensive antiques or cheap finds. Note: In August, the activity is slightly reduced, less vibrant. #Paris #France #CityWalk

When we’re told what we see with our own eyes is not true, that we're delusional, and dangerous liars for just stating what's real, I’m reminded of Camus in La Peste, warning that "there always comes a time in history when saying two and two makes four is punished by death". We know what's real.
