I've been largely of the view that the harshest punishments Man City face should be directed at the owners and protect fans. But you'll struggle to find many who support that stance after the full-throated backing for Khaldoon et al in the away end today. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nxyt...

🆕 Ronald Araujo admits #LFC have given him what he needed after a ‘very difficult’ period as he opened up on past struggles. 🗣️ "The truth is it was very difficult. It hurts me. And maybe I also understand the questioning and the criticism... It is something that I truly feel and it hurts me a lot."

💰 #LFC have missed out on numerous players to #MCFC over the years. But after inflating their revenue by more than £900m, it sheds new light on their superior spending power. Here are 10 players City beat Liverpool to sign while breaking financial rules. www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/footba...

Whether you agree with him or not, Marsch gives a great interview. One of many good lines in this: "Could a president of the US ever be an Everton fan? No chance." [A criticism of the US, not Everton.]

Tuchel keeps on Kane and Saka (until 82 mins) who were shocking. Your trying to get an equalizer and you insist on keeping guys on

Shocking defending by England and Tuchel has the audacity to criticize TAA. How many times have Spain penetrated that defense with ease.

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

England V Spain, only 1-0 to Spain, could be 4-0 if Ferran Torres could get his act together when through on goal. Can England rescue ?

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Englands speed of movement breaking forward just allows the Spanish to reset everytime, failing to take advantage of every opportunity

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

12 mins in and the English awareness, press and delivery in the final 1/3rd is sub par

Andoni Iraola was hired for his front-footed, attacking football, but his first priority has been to make Liverpool hard to beat and he is succeeding. On a defence that can now grind it out and whether a big call on Florian Wirtz and Trey Nyoni is coming. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQtn...

Jacquet my player of the game so far

010

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Kerkez’s delivery is shocking, to Barcola. We need to see more effort from Isak, Szoboz. That mix is not working. Is it Nyoni time?

100

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Can we get Barcola on the ball more

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Who’s as unlucky as me having Andy Townsend as a commentator at Liverpool V Bournemouth and Michael Oliver as ref.

010

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Fuck sake lads, complete our passes, win more of the ball and sort the final 1/3rd Press out and delivery

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Great fighting spirit today from Liverpool

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Brilliant to see MacAllister back on form

010

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

What are we doing here, other than MacAllister/Ngu the substitutions are pointless so far

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

MacAllister playing some good football, but again hugely vulnerable in midfield

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Going all out in attack, big risk with Frimpong

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Gravenberch, liabolity in this game

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

So half time we bring on Kerkez? The problem is midfield

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Midfield change or org at half time as its way too easy in midfield, Nyoni? Szobo, Wirtz and Geavenberch need to get their fingers out and move the ball quicker and

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Can we sort out the Press and the middle of the pitch and move the ball quicker, lackadaisical all round

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

We need to see more from Wirtz, Grav, Szobo

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Neeed to move the ball quicker and switch the play better

I've been surprised by how well Liverpool have calmly controlled large parts of the last two games given that Iraola's reputation for intensity and that it's so early in his reign. Reflections on that, Bradley Barcola's debut and many other positives here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kNz...

Can Gravenberch get his finger out

200

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

nGumho on the left with Barcola on the right doesn't work with Barcola on the right-nGumho cannot deliver the ball and we are not serving Barcola correctly-should have been Barcola left and Munoz right hand side.

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Well, the transfer window is vlosed and regardless of the usual social media ranting, Barcola, Jacquet, Munoz and Araujo is not bad. However, the next window doesn’t open until January and the boss has got to deal with our current full backs situation and rejig. Fingers crossed

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Better football today, process and squad under development.

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Kerkez & Frimpong - we need control, because the control and delivery is not good enough

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Maccallister playing well as is Wirtz, Szobo, VVD Munoz and Maccer, but we need to see more on the creative side…in partic…Isak, Gakpo not good enough

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

John Barnes sums up the imbalance in Liverpool but also quite rightly says we have to give them time to put in place a more functional team www.facebook.com/share/r/1BMX...

Minteh, regardless of the mkt, Brighton are taking the piss, when we look at (a) our yourh squad (b) Munoz cost and his quality (c) his inconsistency. It’s all right taking about potential. But need wuality now. Because over the past seasons he has hardly been seen as an up and coming superstar.

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Liverpool V Forest, whilst we wait for a RB and transfers:Alot more agression from our defence,Bring Araujo into Right back,Tsimikas for Kerkez, Midfield, bring in Nyoni now as DM,Munoz must start over Rio, fix the Wirtz conundrum and provide better Isak svcs

110

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Positives from Liverpool Jacquet, Wirtz, Munoz, Koumos some Szobo, some Gakpo, some Frimpong. Gravenberch, great first touch, but the final product is shocking. But so much work to do in the final 1/3 and Isak needs to get over himself. We need a defensive midfielder asap and Nyoni needs to be in

010

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Liverpool defensively, lots of backpedaling, standing off forwards and allowing them to pass the ball. It’s appalling

100

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

What was Szobo doing stopping in the middle of the pitch and Van Dyck during that attack, we have the numbers and nobody makes a tackle, shocking, backpedaling and lack of commitment

000

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

So 1st game of the season, 1st half Gravenberch, great first touch, but final 1/3rd shocking, with the usual lackadaisical Gakpo and nothing from Isak. Standouts, Wirtz, Jacquet, Van Dyck, Szobo. Other poor performances Rio. The wings and defensive mid clear problems

Jeff Forsyth @jeffforsythphd.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

If I see another update ref Liverpool transfers, constantly repeating what we have known for over a month I’ll scream. Not every article published needs to give the same context about every player over the last year we may or may not be looking at. It’s pure garbage journalism
