Many people are saying this here and I really don't think that's fair. Mark Burnett was making a reality show. Reality shows are never real, they are scripted to make mindless TV that appeals to the lowest common denominator. He was doing his job. Sadly his formula worked. Too well.

I had an office on the 4th floor of the Brill Building (NW corner 49th/B'way) 1983-ish with windows overlooking B'way & illegally lived in it for about a year and absolutely loved it, all to say I will never tire of archival photos of Times Square.

Good to know. Ftr I'm not an expert on mental disabilities, that's why I said she *presented* that way -- that's how she came off -- not that she was. It wasn't a diagnosis. + I'd like to note that in my opinion IQ's are so culturally biased they are next to useless. I test as a genius. I'm not.

1975, Freshman at college: same. One night I randomly landed on his show on my AM transistor radio & from then on would listen to him every night as I fell asleep. Didn't even know his name till years later but there was no mistaking that voice, those cadences, those stories.
