iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

So, I didn't realize this until recently, but without going into spoiler territory, Kamen Rider Build has a bit of Three Kingdoms energy to it. And I don't know why I didn't notice sooner... ^^'

Live the kind of life that causes people to celebrate your good deeds, your sense of humour, and you yourself. As devastated as I am about Dolly Parton and Tim Curry, we were all absolutely lucky to get to experience their energies growing up, even if only in passing.

As much as I want to be mad at the game being a game-key, because yes it sucks, I don't have the energy to be anymore. Plus at least it IS a physical copy, even if it is still digital download. I'm more concerned for the people on Shopify US that had their pre-orders cancelled.

Exactly. None of this "oh, I have to be the first because I want my name on the front page of some news story!" shit. Cause oh, it'll be on the front page, alright, for all the wrong reasons. Actually put in the effort. Learn to do stuff.

The fact this made it to N64 at all is admirable, but personally I'm in the camp of "Did this really need an N64 version?"

Started playing Pokémon Pokopia yesterday. This game is so GOOD.

So I'm willing to bet this is some kind of bootleg translation from back in the day. @aaronmagica.myatproto.social and I theorize this after doing some tests to see why my FXPak was freezing the game with a held note when doing a trade with an NPC at the underground path.

The point is, I'm not running anymore. I stand by my fellow artists and real life people that are affected by this.

Okay, I will admit that I don't like to get involved in politics, but we've LONG passed the point where it has become an attack on freedom. As someone whose OC (Ember, the girl in my profile picture) is canonically trans/newhalf, the news that has come out has broken the camel's back.

As a little bit of a thread for this, there were some things of note I wanted to share. Firstly, while I am disappointed they didn't get the original soundtrack due to licensing (which is harder to do since Rémi passed away in 2019) the new soundtrack grew on me. I do prefer original though.

Okay, normally I don't like to bring stuff like this up, but considering Discord was where I met my current friend group in 2016.... This is literally surveillance state shit. Plus with the leak of personal information that happened in October, I don't trust this decision. Be vocal about this.

Update: got a Storyware cart I was willing to buy and it just came in today. Both systems work, but the more faded of the two has a broken pen. The other one works flawlessly! TL;DR: My gamble worked!

I'm not gonna lie, the first thing I think of with that isn't the Korean dish. It's Bibinba from Kinnikuman, called Belinda in the English dub for Ultimate Muscle/Kinnikuman Nisei. Mantaro/Kid Muscle's mom.

Took a gamble on an eBay listing for two Sega Pico systems, sold as is. Got them today. Can't actually test them past turning them on as I don't have any Storyware.

Two Sega Pico consoles, which just arrived today.

You know, I'm thinking I never got far in Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories back in my teen years (didn't get a PS1 until 2013) because I knew nothing about Yu-Gi-Oh. And I kind of still don't. Especially the fusion and star mechanics.

Metroid Prime's 1.0 release on GameCube had a pretty big bug: if you immediately left the room with the Phazon Elite without picking up the Artifact of the Warrior, it would despawn, causing you to softlock the game and have to start a new file.

You know, the practicality of it is probably in question, but I'm kinda surprised nobody's attempted an Everdrive-like device for the Sega Pico.

Don't. Give. Them. Your. Money. Games go on sale very often, and they're asking more than the actual bundle.

I was playing the SNES version of Batman Returns yesterday, and apparently Catwoman in the third stage boss fight has a move that does way too much damage where she does a bit of an afterimage dash. It's insane. Keep in mind, this is 90's Konami. AKA "beat the game on Hard or Mania!" difficulty....

So you mean to tell me that the character made specially for Umamusume had her own horse named after her IRL rather than the opposite? Huh. The more you know.

As someone who was holding out on Die Another Day because of the complaints I heard about it those many years ago, watching it yesterday with friends on Discord was probably the best way I could've done so. Two things I never expected: Halle Berry as a Bond girl, and invisible cars.

Let this sink in. HALLMARK did a better job on something two years ago, that's only out one time a year I might add, than something meant to sit on a shelf for as long as you want it there.

My haul from Christmas (we did gifts yesterday) was a set of Power Coins/Dino Medals off of Etsy, a $20 Nintendo eShop card, a $30 Steam card, a new pair of winter gloves, a shirt, some toys for my cat, and the Dreamcast ornament @aaronmagica.myatproto.social brought up in an earlier post.
