The 19-year-old rider was booked into the Jefferson County Detentions Facility on multiple charges, including reckless driving. Speed limits are not suggestions. At 111 mph, one bad decision can become everyone’s emergency.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Colorado @jeffcosheriffco.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

The investigation also found that the rider had a suspended driver’s license, no motorcycle endorsement, and was operating a motorcycle that had not been registered since 2018.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Colorado @jeffcosheriffco.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

They clocked the motorcycle traveling 111 mph in a clearly marked 65 mph double fine construction zone. The rider was stopped near South Wadsworth Boulevard and West Chatfield Avenue and taken into custody.

111 mph in a construction zone. No excuse. Recently during morning rush hour traffic, two deputies conducting traffic enforcement on westbound C470 near South Wadsworth Boulevard observed a motorcycle weaving through traffic at an extremely high speed.
