Went to Bratislava and other parts of Slovakia a few years ago. Nice change from the major cities of Europe and the smaller towns were great, not touristy. Had some really good beers, although I couldn’t name any of them.

Great episode Dave. Growing up in Wisconsin, bars (that’s what we called them) were social centers. People went there to eat, meet and drink. My Dad often took his lunch breaks at a bar because they had the best nearby food. And it was normal for a family to have a meal together at a bar.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I checked the beer fridge but don’t have anything smoked, and we went out to dinner at a restaurant with such a limited beer selection that I didn’t have any. So I wasn’t able to participate this year
