Big news - The Crew is headed back to Chicago in November for FOBAB. If you’re going, maybe you’ll trip over us!

Old Guy Beer Crew @oldguybeercrew.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Grandpa here. Just wishing a Happy Birthday to fellow Crew member (and my brother) Uncle Rob! I’d post our combined age now, but my calculator app crashed. (The number is staggering, just like us).

Happy birthday to one of our three founding members (😉), JC! He’s the guy on the left in our profile picture, and with another birthday in the books, we further cement our claim to our name! (GB)

19 breweries visited. About 50 beers (each) sampled. It’s been real, Denver.

We’ve hit several breweries in our first 2 days in Denver - here are a few of them in this great beer city.

Ok folks - Denver brewery recommendations. We have a pretty good handle on the area, but we’re always willing to hear about those hidden gems. Thanks!

We love Belgian beer. Did you know one of us is of Belgian descent? Hint - it’s not me. (GB)

So, reading today that Jacked Up brewery in SD has closed, Figueroa Mtn has merged with Blake’s and others, and thinking about how we can’t visit breweries fast enough before they go. 😢

Our next official beer and baseball trip is this May. Anyone want to guess where we’re going?

Old Guy Beer Crew @oldguybeercrew.bsky.social · 14/02/2026

Final tally - 15 breweries and a few brewpubs and bars. Recommended - Enegren and Third Window, along with Fluid State. Approved - many, including Institution, Ventura Coast and Poseidon. Successful trip!

Lots of great beer in the northern LA County / Ventura County area. Underrated as a beer destination

Our “off-season” (Baseball season, that is) trip to SoCal starts in about a week and a half. And there will be much rejoicing (and beer).

Well, this is no surprise, although I suspect @grandpabeer.bsky.social and @robg64.bsky.social are about tied for first place.

We’ve had some folks ask to be members. Just remember, you have to be an old guy who likes beer. However, adjunct memberships are always available and welcomed! 👴🏻🍺✈️

I’d wish our member @grandpabeer.bsky.social a happy birthday, but since this is him posting, that would be a little self-serving…😉

We have so much to coordinate for our trip to Chicago, between meeting up with locals and other folks, and games, festivals and breweries and bars to visit, that @grandpabeer.bsky.social may suffer from his head exploding. But what a way to go!
