The first record I remember buying with my own money was this one. I was seven; we already had six others but this was the first I got first myself. Not thr original butcher cover, but the trunk one seen here.

Long overdue, even if just a pilot project. It was ridiculous to allow cars to drive through a busy market with heavy pedestrian traffic that provides the bulk of customers. Again: cars do not drive business.

When I worked in a cafe in NE Seattle, I saw that the bulk of our customers were from the neighborhood and just walked to our location. Most of the cars parked in front were by people who never frequented our or any other store. Cars do not drive business (pun intended).

Always liked using the Sky Train and busses when I've visited Vancouver. As mentioned, high frequency so that you don't need to rely on a schedule is key.

The single biggest take away is to stop spending energy pointing out the hypocrisy. That's just wasted effort. From there you have to channel your energy into something effective. Can't give you a tangible suggestion though, that depends on way too many variables at this point. Good luck!

Two thoughts: 1. The combination of stupidity and arrogance on display here boggles the mind. But it is a textbook example of car-centric mentality. 2. Never having visited there, why is Halifax so hostile to bikers/walkers/transit riders?
