Newtown Half Marathon completed! Beautiful day for a race. It was a real treat to run with my 11yo, who ran the 5K and beat his goal. Definitely the most challenging HM route I’ve run with over 320m of climb, but it was well organized

Love @tobbe.dev's story about how he got involved with Cedar JS (fka RedwoodJS). Behind so many open source success stories is a welcoming community with a legible codebase 🌲

Fairfield Half Marathon today. My first ever race was this event, one year ago. Proud of my progress since then! Today was a total slog through high humidity and full sun, but we made it!

Me irl
A two-panel meme compares “coding” to “vibe coding.”
	•	Top panel: A simple 3D stick figure walks into a rake lying on the ground, and the handle snaps up to hit them in the face. The caption reads “CODING.”
	•	Bottom panel: Several cartoon men repeatedly run into rakes on a staircase from multiple directions, getting hit by the handles over and over. The caption reads “VIBE CODING.”

✅ Quality ✅ Squirrels
Screenshot of a customer reviews summary for a product. It shows a rating of 4.1 out of 5 stars based on 20 global ratings. Below, under the heading “Customers say,” it reads: “Customers find these hickory nuts to be of the best quality, with one customer noting they are amazingly fresh. They appreciate how squirrels love these nuts.” There is also a note that says “AI-generated from the text of customer reviews.” At the bottom, there are selectable tags labeled “Quality” and “Squirrels.”

Got my Halloween costume figured out
A tee shirt with the text “us-east-1” in bright orange letters against a black background. The font has a dripping, horror-movie style, with elongated drips extending from each letter. The final character, the “1,” is stylized as a clean, sharp knife shape without any drips, matching the height and thickness of the other letters.

Definitive ranking: the vibes of each mile in the Hartford Marathon
A tier ranking chart titled “Tiermaker,” ranking the miles of a marathon from S to D tier.
	•	S tier (red): Mile 1, Mile 2, Mile 3, and Last 0.2 miles.
	•	A tier (orange): Miles 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.
	•	B tier (yellow): Miles 7, 14, 15, 21, 22, and 25.
	•	C tier (light yellow): Miles 5, 6, 19, 20, and 26.
	•	D tier (light green): Miles 4, 16, 17, 18, 23, and 24.

The chart humorously ranks each mile of a marathon by enjoyability or perceived difficulty.
