I’ve known many other defense secretaries, starting with Cap Weinberger, who served as defense secretary under Reagan. I can say without fear of contradiction that Pete Hegseth is the stupidest and least qualified of them all. He is a danger to the entire world. He must be impeached.

Correct on the filtration, etc. It comes from BYWD [Bon Homme-Yankton Water District to the southeast between Yankton and Tyndall someplace] and there's another line coming in from RCWD [Randall Community Water District to the southwest near Fort Randall Dam].

Be quiet, Dan! I was in Pierre yesterday, Tuesday, for a hearing. Walked out of a State office building at about 3:30 or so and it seemed a trifle warm - not a good day to wear a black suit. Anyhow, I got in, started the engine and A/C, then looked at the outside temperature. 104 F. Yikes!

Lake Mitchell. North side of town. Firesteel Creek was dammed up in the 1920s? to provide a semi-stable city water supply. Now we get our H2O from a long pipeline from the Missouri River and the lake is primarily residential/recreational.
