This looks good for cattle. Seems doubtful for corn at scale. The vertical setups spaced to allow for implements is the best for widespread row crop deployments.

If the county didn’t want the money, has the developer considered paying for residential solar at that same level with residents closest to the project getting it first? I.e., break the opposition by peeling away those who are closest to the site through immediate financial benefits from it.

Agreed, and they should drop the ice and hybrid versions at this point. I assume that they only are keeping them for the dealerships who want the service income.

7th and final hour done. 2 buyers; two purchasers. Both ICE vehicles. Overall, it was a poorly attended. Most were still driving ICE vehicles which now cost easily over $100 to fill if a truck or suv. Disposal income is going to gas and/or people are driving less.

Hour 6 done. 1 buyer; one purchase; hybrid car. Heading into final hour. If past pattern holds there will be a few post lunch/late buyers.

Hour 5 done. 2 buyers; 1 purchasers. One ICE vehicle and one walk up The pattern is the same as prior sales but overall low turnout.

First hour done: 3 visitors 1 drive by ICE pickup 1 ICE pickup truck with single buyer 1 EV with 3 buyers No sales. We’ve been doing these sales for past few years. People are usually out early to get things before sales are picked over. This is abnormal.

Anecdotal indicator of trump’s economy: 30 minutes into neighborhood garage sale day and not a single visitor. Gas prices are eating disposable cash and preventing those who do it as a hobby from driving around to them.

Yeah, I guess that’s my point. It’s only considered potentially nefarious bc the identity was unknown. Dual use safeguards aren’t new, and a key aspect of prior iterations of such concerns depended heavily on who was asking what questions/attempting to get access to potentially sensitive materials

Isn’t it that they blocked queries because the questions were from those who had hidden their identity more so than the questions being asked? I suspect that they put the cart before the horse and now are scrambling to put identification safeguards in place—maybe Claude can code it for them! 😉

Hey Zack, have you ever done this same plot for ice volume? I know you have other visualizations for volume, but I am curious if the recent plateau in area minimum is mirrored in volume or if it continues to decline. Also, is the ending of volume in Feb, 2026 temporary or is it permanently offline?

Use the spelling given in the publication. It’s clearer and doesn’t require readers to know the history of the name variants. If you use the mismatched variant, add a footnote stating that you changed the spelling in the citation and provide the spelling that appears in the original paper.

I was feeding training data to NNs 25 years ago. The advances are spectacular. Their concerns should be focused on our digital infrastructure given agent behavior and self learning. That probably hits too close to business models and doesn’t cause as much concern in focus groups…
