How does anyone use an @outlook.com email address as their primary email? It constantly wants to send codes to my _backup_ email address as its default method of authentication

So many sites seem to have ditched their "Maybe later" buttons and now automatically try and fail to create passkeys, despite them pretty terrible for users outside of a work work scenario

"AI is becoming part of how people experience the web every day" Indeed, there's slop EVERYWHERE

Firefox "Block AI enhancements" toggle when enabled:

Blocking means you won’t see new or current AI enhancements in Firefox, or pop-ups about them. Get more details about what’s included and how to control traditional machine learning features, like search suggestions and recommendations.

ℹ️ New and current AI enhancements are blocked by default. To unblock a specific feature, use the controls below.

Imagine putting this somewhere your paying customers could read it

We run an hourly deploy train. Twelve to fourteen deployment events on a typical workday, packing about 70 PRs across them, with one to three reverts. Recovery is within the hour, because the next train is right behind. This bounds the duration of any individual bad PR’s impact in production. It doesn’t bound the radius; when something deploys, everyone gets it. But the duration of “everyone gets it” is short enough that we can absorb the cost.

I see a similar thing with the file search tool in the harness I work on - Opus will almost always escape | pipes when trying to use regex-enabled search, even though the description states we're using JavaScript RegExp and specifically provides an example of using pipes for multiple search terms

The second-funniest thing you can do with an LLM is ask it to generate software project estimates The funniest thing you can do is send those estimates to someone else
