i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country

by freezing all federal grants, trump is fundamentally transforming the relationship between the executive and congress. he is asserting dictatorial authority over federal spending, transforming congress's lawmaking powers into advisory authority. it is a constitutional crisis

"HEY! that fellow's talking about me!" "And that makes a difference," says the voice of reason... Yikes! as the French say: plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose alas; and yet here we are.

Article I says Congress makes laws and has power of the purse. Article II requires POTUS to faithfully execute laws. Refusing to execute laws so he can usurp Congress’s budgetary authority is unconstitutional. A self-respecting Congress would do a veto-proof resolution, and if necessary, impeach.

The separation of powers designates that Congress controls the financial powers of our government. Trump's series of sweeping executive orders within the last few days has sought expressly to rob Congress of that power. Demand opposition. Implore Congress to act: www.senate.gov/senators/sen...

It sure would be a hassle if folks continued to send lots of large files to this address over and over again: DEIAtruth@opm.gov That would be bad, right? It might bog things down, even interfere with the current witch hunt. Allow us to suggest such a file: www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/...

apple.news/AJo8p-468T8i... In his 1963 “A Talk to Teachers,” Baldwin warned about complacency: “It’s inconceivable that a sovereign people should continue, as we do so abjectly, to say ‘I can’t do anything about it. It’s the government.” We avoid this reality at our own peril!
