The fear was that you'd wait years for a verdict and it would be end in some whimper or mealy mouthed statement. Instead, the time was used to present a true and damning indictment.

I have all the time in the world for Jack, but this article is just the delusional confidence of pro athletes. Just because you're a 2 handicap doesn't mean you have any chance to make it as a golfer. Just because you're a great footballer doesn't mean you have any chance to make it as an NFL kicker

I think that people talk far too much about positions and not enough about roles. It means that players get judged against something other than what they are being asked to do. It also leads to players getting pigeonholed

Archie Gray has played the vast majority of his professional football at RB, both for Leeds and Spurs. Maybe we should stop saying he's been played out of position and ask other questions about him and his play.

Poor-ish starting lineup. Bad luck with Porro injury. Didn't like the Kudus sub for Fernandes. Once Villa scored, we needed someone to pick a pass so sub Bentancur and leave Fernandes or bring on Maddison. Long three weeks ahead. Gonna enjoy the Autumn in Scotland and worry about other things.

FT 2-3. Another dreadful second half from Spurs. Frustrated, bullied and then picked off by Villa. Tottenham couldn't sustain their early intensity and heads dropped as soon as it went wrong. Two goals at the end make the scoreboard look different.

The idea of parity across programmes or courses undermines the very idea of a university education. Not every course is an introduction, not every course needs a large class size, not all learning is possible with a large cohort.

Consultants and senior management destroying postgraduate education in the name of efficiencies and metrics. Apparently a class isn't feasible without 20 plus students if the postgrad is paying £30k a year. Try learning advanced Arabic or reading closely Hegel in a large class!
