My hunters name on WoW Forever Beta is “Itsy Bitsy”. You’ll never guess what pet I’m going to tame. 🕸️ I didn’t post about it, but I got the warrior up to 20 last weekend. I’ve slowed down a bit as work as ramped up and I’m gassed, but looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

I tried Midnight Suns almost by accident, and I was so hooked. I think I spent more time in the friend simulator elements than I did in combat. I remember it being really well written and it grabbed me. So, knowing they're different games, maybe I should try Guardians given you've grouped them!

Midnight Suns and Guardians of the Galaxy are both absolutely incredible and among the greatest comic book games ever made, but both stumbled right out of the gate because people were still sour on Marvel's Avengers (which is also better than it got credit for).

My memory of this time period is a little different. These designs definitely existed, and were very cool, but most of the web did not look like this. These were found on niche interest sites, anime, tech, artist portfolios, etc. Most people weren't capable of this, except for copying templates.

For German learning I recommend beginners check out the DW language portal at learngerman.dw.com/en/learn-ger.... DW is a state-funded org. and their A1 program "Nicos Weg" is widely considered the best free resource out there. For vocabulary in any language I recommend using the Anki system.

Last two things I would recommend is finding "readers" in your target language. These are books written for various reading levels. I really like this series in German, but the author does a ton of languages: www.amazon.com/Short-Storie... Finally, cannot recommend in-person classes enough.

Anki (apps.ankiweb.net) is a flashcard platform that uses a spaced repetition algorithm for memorization. It doesn't come with anything included in the tin, so to speak, but there is a large community and so you can find "Anki packs" for most common languages and skill levels.

This is Duolingo! I don't /really/ recommend it, unless it's the only thing that will keep you motivated. It's highly game-ified and full of grey patterns and borderline manipulative practices. They would argue it's effective at keeping people engaged, but it's definitely walking a tightrope...

I've seen people argue in the comment sections of videos that are just a timer & the play side-by-side demonstrating it was < 9s. It's fascinating.
